BruceVC Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I exercise heavy partying followed by cardio... You are funny. You are a real hedonist, you do realize that? 1 "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Malcador Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I slept pretty well last night(after some intense of cardio) and am now enjoying a protein shake after hitting the gym. I've never got why people drink coffee, that tastes like ass. If you've tasted ass, well...you're in no position to judge, man. 2 Why has elegance found so little following? Walsingham Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I don't drink coffee that tastes like ass. I boycott Nestle as standard. Discovered lemonde made with ginger and rose water today. Extra chilled... amazing. 1 "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. Raithe Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I really should feel bad about today. I've done very little actual work. My father took mom out to look around an auction house through a chunk of the morning, which left me alone and minus most distractions - well, apart from the dogs who were actually pretty chill themselves - and instead of utilising that appropriately to achieve anything worthwhile.. I found myself pretty much chilling out and doing sod-all. It was very much that "Hm, I really should do something. But it's quiet and peaceful... Enjoy it just a bit longer..." Nepenthe Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) I exercise heavy partying followed by cardio... I've found it's more like fat burn. I mean, if you can speak during an activity, it's fat burn. Edited June 28, 2013 by Nepenthe You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
LadyCrimson Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Guys some of you seem to battle falling asleep or have prolonged periods where you don't sleep well. I would like to ask a question? Do you exercise regularly, I don't mean just a walk around the block but at least 40 minutes of intense cardio 3-4 times a week? Not that level of cardio at the moment, no ... legs aren't up to it yet. But that's nothing to do with sleep issues, in my case. I've been like this since...well, since I can remember (eg, under 8 years old), before any caffeine, and all through decades when I was in good shape/quite active. I could barely get through school, let alone work weeks, because I couldn't sleep, then couldn't get up in time when I did sleep. It's probably a combo of toddler-trauma psych issues and "wrong" biological clock issues, which at this point leads to lifelong habitual patterns that feel impossible to break. “Things are as they are. Do you exercise regularly, I don't mean just a walk around the block but at least 40 minutes of intense cardio 3-4 times a week? Not cardio but 90 minutes of weight lifting with 2 minutes rest between the sets, 5 days a week. I sleep very uneasily on my two exercise free days (due to excessive energy) and suffer from severe insomnia when I do too many drop sets or lift more than 2 hours / day. Or it might just be my BD. Edited June 28, 2013 by Woldan I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Rosbjerg Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 2 of my friends started a "project".. They are gonna go out and party (but not drink) every night for 1001 nights consecutively .. It's 2 weeks so far and they've invited me out tonight, I don't know if I wanna participate in and endorse it. I may be a hedonist, but I'm not that crazy Fortune favors the bald.
Woldan Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 ...party but not drink... You lost me there. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Rosbjerg Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 Well they are gonna drink on the weekends, just not Monday to Thursday.. The main reason is socializing, meeting women and having fun - not a killer hangover accumulated over 3 years of excessive drinking. Fortune favors the bald.
LadyCrimson Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 RISK parties with booze present. "My Indonesia! What did it ever do to you? Nooooo, you bleepbleepbleepitybleepbeep! It's so on! Roll, you heathen, roll!" *violent hand shaking dice rattles, dice skipping out of bounds and landing on the floor half the time, curses to wake the dead, giggles, etc* We were party animals, I tell you, party animals. 1 “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Never did play that one. I know we tried drunken Monopoly, but somehow that was never the same. ...y'know, I love computer gaming, but I really do miss all those board games. No one (we know) plays them anymore. Not just because of electronic gaming, of course. Time and lack of enough players at once plays a part. I think when hubby gets home I'm going to bring out the cribbage board. “Things are as they are. Labadal Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Started a virus scan) on my PC almost 3,5 hours ago, it's still going on. I've been getting weird messages when I start STEAM and then it crashes. Been playing on my PS3 and 360 during the wait. (Was expecting the scan to take an hour at most.)
Raithe Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Huh, Only just realised it's friday about half an hour before midnight and it rolls past. Okay, I guess this goes down as a day i've had very little coherent thought... 1 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."

Guard Dog Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Wow, everyone is doing something interesting tonight, except me. But that's ok. I'm going to put Radio Margaritaville on my XM, pour a glass of nine year old bourbon and watch the sun set from my porch. For Ros and the rest of you folks... don't do anything I wouldn't do.
