This thread is just for a bit of fun, but it would be cool if the dev's payed attention to it too ;)

List one weird thing (one thing per post) from an Infinity Engine game that you would like to be kept canon in Project Eternity.

Put it in a quote mark.

I'll go first

I would like the same color circles around units to be used. Green for party, red for enemies, light blue for non-hostile NPCs.

I am undecided whether the non-player circles should be omnipresent on the screen (or hidden like IWD2), perhaps toggleable?

Have fun :) hopefully some weird things are mentioned.

Hmm, let me see...

Not sure if this really counts, but it might.

I'd like my incessant bugging of my companions by clicking on them constantly to be rewarded by an annoyed/extra line of speech by them like in BG and I think PS:T (I also recall clicking seals until they exploded in Warcraft... Oops)

Mine is...

Paintings in taverns that, when you study them closely, resemble Elvis. Or other Easter Egg-like stuff

Perhaps I am delusional, but it was a couple of years since I last played BG2:

IIRC, your pc and party could not run through the game. It was done in an adventure-appropriate pace. They characters sorta trickled forth on the ground. I loved that and I hope PE does the same.

Where's your quote marks? :p

Feargus should appear as a character in the game again
I will be greatly disappointed if there's not some sort of talking piece of equipment to annoy me.

"Hmm so last Paypal information was 140,000 putting us at 4,126,929. We did well over and beyond 4 million, and still have an old backer number from Paypal. 76,186 backers. It's very possible that we have over 75,000 backers if I had new Paypal information. Which means we may have 15 Mega dungeon levels, and we already are going to have an amazing game + cats (I swear I will go stir crazy if Adam doesn't own up to the cats thing :p)."

Switching to Paypal means that more of your money will go towards Project Eternity. (The more you know.)

Paypal charges .30 cents per transaction and 2.2% for anything over 100,000 per month for U.S currency. Other currency is different, ranging from anywhere between 2.2-4.9%.

Kick Starter is a fixed 5% charge at the end.

Well...

I want the fog of war, it really made scouting ahead with a stealthy character fun and useful

Please no more goofy American voices from magical sidekicks. A sword that sounds like Indigo Montoya from The Princess Bride, The Narrator from Bastion, or Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom from Jade Empire, something with personality.

If you're gonna post at least post your own suggestion :p

The select all button should be in the bottom right hand corner of the screen of the UI

YOU MUST GATHER YOUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH.

I'm sorry but I'm all about nostalgia and whenever I think of the IE games and weird things I want to keep, none of it's really weird, it's just all nostalgic. Character interactions that are unforgettable, there are still characters from Planescape Torment (13 years ago) that people still talk about today. And I love you tube so here we go again.

Icewind Dale II, I believe, let you carry a dead cat in your inventory through the entire campaign, and called you out for it late in the game.

Oh, err... quote fomat, huh?

Something like that ^

Like the sword in the Colour of Magic? "I'm magical you know!"

"Can't fight!? don't worry, I'll make a hero out of you!" etc.

anyway, mine would be

really niche religions with ever weirder customs, like the cult of the unseen in Baldurs Gate II

Remember: Argue the point, not the person. Remain polite and constructive. Friendly forums have friendly debate. There's no shame in being wrong. If you don't have something to add, don't post for the sake of it. And don't be afraid to post thoughts you are uncertain about, that's what discussion is for.

Pet threads, everyone has them. I love imagining Gods, Monsters, Factions and Weapons.

BG1-style spoken one-liners when you click on random townsfolk:

"Wife's been gettin' prickly on me arse."

"Away with you beggar!"

Me and 2 other friends of mine completed IWD2 with my cleric\rogue (don't ask) character carrying 7 cat corpses from the beginning of the game. xD

Yes, Kring, but from the book or the Nigel Planer audio book, not that awful TV movie.

Not the clunky UI that took up 2/3 of the screen. That's for sure.

Not as much of an issue in 1920x1080 ;)

Similar styled UI layout to either BG1 or IWD2

Ok, add mine.

There should be a glamorous female companion in my team who like to write diary, too.

But this time I should have a chance to peep it.

Another one , as I said before, when I charm a enemy by magic, I wish I could talk to him and get some information or quests.

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, She got the Mercedes Benz

She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
