Metabot Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/09/28/impressions-the-banner-sagas-f2p-multiplayer/ All in all the game is looking very promising and I'm pretty excited for it.
Gorth Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I read as far as 'multiplayer'... Dammit, I want games for people with no life and no friends! Why ruin a good looking, turn based combat game with multiplayer “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Metabot Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 It's not just multiplayer. That's just something they're releasing before the actual single player game. Supposedly they're going to use to balance the combat.
Gorth Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Hmm, in that case I might just read the rest “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Bos_hybrid Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Still not sure what to make of this game.
Humanoid Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Same, if only because it's one of those 'minor' games for me, in that I pledged a token amount for it not because I particularly wanted it, but because like Dead State, I just wanted to support the devs. If I end up wanting to play it once released, bonus, and if not, at least it'll indirectly help that little bit towards a future project I may be interested in. That said, don't mind how this is shaping up now, but will skip the multiplayer for sure. L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G
Labadal Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I'll try the multiplayer, but the campaign is what really interests me. The only reason I want to try Factions is to see how the game plays.
sorophx Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 it looks awesome on screenshots. I'm very optimistic Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. And having been educated solely by mkreku in this respect I am convinced that Finland essentially IS the wh40k universe.
WorstUsernameEver Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 It's looking very interesting. If nothing else, I've got an awesome poster and a great-looking game out of the deal. If it plays great too (and I hope so), super duper bonus.
Metabot Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Still not sure what to make of this game. What aren't you sure about?
Leferd Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 The devs listed King of Dragon Pass as one of their inspirations. That got them an automatic look from my end. Pledged $10 for a copy. lobotomy42 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 The animation and music of this game look so, so good.
Tigranes Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm a backer, so the beta should be in my hands sooner or later. Excited. AGX-17 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I am eager to repel the Norse invaders from my territories in Britain.
