September 29, 201213 yr Forgive me for adding another poll (because I know you guys are sick of these), but I'm just curious on whether people would like a dog companion. Since both Arcanum and Fallout had dogs as companion, I figure, why not stick with tradition and add dog companion in this game? The dog's class doesn't have to be unique, so he could a slightly modified version of the fighter class that would fit dogs. For example, the dog would have "headbutt" instead of "shield bash", but both skills could be exactly the same damage-wise. Obviously, a dog companion won't have as much character development as the other companions, but he could react to certain situations and you could makes some funny banters with the dog (similar to the dog in Dragon Age Origin).
September 29, 201213 yr Ohhh, a multiple choice yes/no poll. Nice. ^^ But seriously, a dog would be cool. or a pet basilisk. :3 Edited September 29, 201213 yr by dlux
September 29, 201213 yr Forgive me for adding another poll (because I know you guys are sick of these), Yes... Joking aside, I wouldn't mind an animal companion. While I liked 'Dog' in DA:O (one of my favourites besides Sten and Zevran), I'm not really fond of canines in general. Give me a pet Kommodo Dragon or something exotic. “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
September 29, 201213 yr Maybe an elf on a leash? Fetch. Sit. Play dead. Good elf! “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
September 29, 201213 yr Ehh I think I'm kind of sick of dog companions after DA. Summons? Yes. Familiars or ranger-type animal companions? Yes. Okku? Yes. I certainly wouldn't want anything that would occupy one of the companion slots, though I wouldn't mind something that just started following you around because you happened to feed it. And do we even know that they will have dogs in this world? If they do they have to have cats too.
September 29, 201213 yr This is a fantasy game. let's have some 'fantasy' pets not RL ones like dogs or cats. Want a dog as a pet? How about a choice between a hell hound or a blink dog. Let's make the pets fantastical to fit the fantasy. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
September 29, 201213 yr I'd much rather see a potential exotic creature companion. Not sure as a party member or as a ranger-type summon, hmmm. The KS Collector's Edition does not include the Collector's Book. Which game hook brought you to Project Eternity and interests you the most? PE will not have co-op/multiplayer, console, or tablet support (sources): [0] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Write your own romance mods because there won't be any in PE. "But what is an evil? September 29, 201213 yr Can I have a pet black panther that I summon from a figurine of wondrous power? I don't think that's been done yet.

September 29, 201213 yr I like the idea of having a pet, but I agree with those who think it shouldn't have to be dog. Reptiles don't always get enough love, true, but it'd also be fun to have something completely new, or specific to the setting. (Also, more of a cat person myself. Ooh, or a bird! :D)
September 29, 201213 yr I'd rather have a anthropomorphic dog furry companion. After all, you can't romance a dog (unless you can ).
September 29, 201213 yr No. I will however, accept either Honey Badger, Alaspinian Miniature Dragon, or Tree-cat "You know, there's more to being an evil despot than getting cake whenever you want it" "If that's what you think, you're DOING IT WRONG."
September 29, 201213 yr A scaly quetzalcoatl gets my vote. The KS Collector's Edition does not include the Collector's Book. September 29, 201213 yr If it's a dog I vote for the mutt from 'A Boy and His Dog' telepathic pimp dogs are cool.
September 29, 201213 yr I love dogs, but it has been done to death lately in RPGs in my opinion - Fallout 3, F:NV, Fable 2, Fable 3, several action RPGs and JRPGs... Dogs were not just included but a bit marketing point. If there is a dog, I want it controlled by telepathic brain worms with a secret agenda.
September 29, 201213 yr Even if I vote for yes here I also prever some more exotic animal as pet companion.
September 29, 201213 yr Monty Python-style vorpal bunny for me please! Bunnies are so cute! Snarkmaster of the Obsidian Order and Planescape junkie! The Obsidian Order wants you!
September 29, 201213 yr Yes to pets in general. I like dogs but if the Player has a choice of several to choose from (some that fly or run or crawl, slither), that would be cool. Does not matter if they are RL or fantasy creatures,
September 29, 201213 yr I'd like pets like a dog, but not for combat. A dog could be good for alerting the party to dangers through smell and hearing. Another pet could be a mule that helps carry loot and even injured party members.
September 29, 201213 yr Black Hound FTW Plott Hound Plott Hound 2 Plott Hound 3 Scottish DeerHound Pharaoh Hound Non-Hounds Beauceron Beauceron 2 Black Lab
