Orogun01 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Not seeing why the keyboard and mouse not changing that much is a bad thing, it works well enough. Gabe Newell is a visionary, he can see a time when everyone types and plays games with just one hand. Because progress means ergonomic keyboards for porn addicts. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.

Raithe Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Kotaku - Warren Spector explains how Epic Mickey is like Deus Ex... The games may look different from the outside, Spector said, but really they just have a different coat of paint. "All it requires is, gamers have to accept that they're not wearing sunglasses at night, they're not wearing a trenchcoat in the middle of summer, they're not carrying a big gun. They're playing as a mouse." "Here's the thing," Spector said. "Everybody asks me, 'When are you gonna make another game like Deus Ex?' And [With Epic Mickey 2], I am! From a structural standpoint, from an underlying design philosophy standpoint, the directives I give the design team, it's the same." "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Hurlshort Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 If it wasn't for the platform, the Epic Mickey games do look like something I would totally love. 1
WorstUsernameEver Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 If it wasn't for the platform, the Epic Mickey games do look like something I would totally love. What platform? Epic Mickey 2 will be released on the HD consoles and PC (ok, I'm not 100% sure it will be released on PC, I'll need to double-check) too, aside from the Wii.

Nepenthe Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Yeah, taking a short look at the official site is too much to ask for these days. I wasn't interested in it before... coz it's a sequel to a Wii exclusive game. Some of us have to do actual work on the side of our gaming, can't spend all day trollin' the forums and rollin' the sites. Edited September 5, 2012 by Nepenthe You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Morgoth Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 http://www.computerandvideogames.com/366637/assassins-creed-3-the-last-of-the-triple-a-dinosaurs/ With Quebec possibly seceding one day from the White Giant's **** that breastfed her so motherly all the time, soon Montreal will probably also lose it's status as "Game industry mekka", instantly reducing AAA-game business by 50%. And that's a good thing. This industry is already so overbloated with morons and crapware that a partial collapse can only mean good things for gamers. Small to medium sized game development will hopefully experience a resurrection again. And with "small" I don't mean indie/mobile/browser crap. Rain makes everything better.
Morgoth Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 No singleplayer-only games from EA (and her divisions, including BioWare) from now on anymore. There goes the chance of ever playing an Obsidian developed Ultima game. Rain makes everything better.

There goes the chance of ever playing an Obsidian developed Ultima game. EA has never been the most willing to resurrect old franchises. Syndicate seem to have failed badly so I doubt we will ever see any more attempts. Tale Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 It's not precisely new info. It kind of gets tied in with Project $10. It's why Mass Effect 3 had multiplayer. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Mamoulian War Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 It's not precisely new info. It kind of gets tied in with Project $10. It's why Mass Effect 3 had multiplayer. If they ditched mulitplayer from ME3, they would have money for making proper ending on release date Some companies never learn how to do it properly... Look at Skyrim, no multiplayer, no online pass, no day 1 DLCs locked on the disc, and have not seen any dissapointed customer... Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Tale Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Look at Skyrim, no multiplayer, no online pass, no day 1 DLCs locked on the disc, and have not seen any dissapointed customer... I've seen quite a few, and with legitimate criticisms, but don't want to derail. I'm really not sure how that paints the argument. Lexx Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Syndicate seem to have failed badly so I doubt we will ever see any more attempts. Wait, the Syndicate game was released already? I never noticed... "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Raithe Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Well to be fair.. it wasn't strictly speaking going to have much appeal to the people who loved Syndicate. It was set in the same sort of themed universe, but going from tactical/strategy game to glossy first person shooter.. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
