It seems to be rather silly to suggest that the role of humans (or americans) is insignificant, when every species of the Galaxy speaks american already.. They've only been part of the inter-galactic community for 30 years and it's already the official language of the galaxy, more than that it has completed wiped out any other language apart from two words that Tali still remember..

You need to crack open the in-game codex and read about the automatic translation software. :p

Besides, Broshep is definitely Canadian! :p

You must be joking, but in case you are not, that doesn't make any sense considering the wide array of dialects among other things, what Codex entry would that be?

(I hate that codex. I tried a few times in the beginning to go through each entry to make it stop blinking, but I never succeeded so I always click the 'stop the bloody blinking' button a.k.a. 'Mark all entries viewed'.. But I see no mention of universal translation implants in that Codex, but I do however see a lot of explanation of all the species.. Elcors speak slow, Hanar and bla-blah..)

No, I actually think he is a danish with a cold. He sounds like me with a flu and he's got blue eyes.. :p

Dude, that's not the in-game codex, but some lame online cover-up if it was included separately as part of a DLC..

Maybe you hate the in-game codex too? Can't blame you. Considering that it's supposed to be like 200 years into the future, it's got some really shoddy search features.. But that's probably taking it too far or being too literal in some way.. Surely this design is 21st century, possibly more like 20th century.. No wait, considering that you could actually 'name' your save games in most games in the nineties, hmmmmm.. Not sure what ancient past this featureless design belongs too. End rant.

I find linking to the in-game codex a lot harder than to an accurate online copy of it.

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

Now, did anybody ever figure out why Haestrom's sun (where you pick up Tali) was suffering from rapid ageing?

It sounded to me like a hamfisted reason for why Tali was messing around in Geth space. I doubt whether it will be ever further explored, let alone explained.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

It was really weird how that seemed like a throwaway, had all the pinnings of some weird final solution of the Reapers to me. Either that or somehow the C'tan showed up. But yeah, probably not going to go anywhere with it.

Playing the multiplayer right now on my Xbox. It's basically Horde mode. The multiplayer is ok, way better than BioShock's 2 MP, but not as good as Assassin's Creed one.

It was thrown around in a few places, not just Haestrom. OTOH the way they've had to retcon stuff (like how Protheans no longer look like the prothean statues in ME1 - they weren't Protheans!), it could wind up just being what you say, a red herring (which is basically the same thing), a part of the solution to the quarian/geth conflict (one way or another) or indeed something more far-reaching.

Haestrom did seem like a genuine plot thread that never got picked up on. Like the angels of Klencory. That kind of stuff happens all the time in large works.

They will be picking up

Leviathan of Dis.

Brrrr.. Looks 'sleek', but also quite uncomfortable and very impractical as it requires everyone to have the same handsize more or less. Maybe it's a return to more diversity in guns like S-M-L-XL versions..

Does anyone know or has it even come out how much the opening day DLC will be? (I imagine the DLC with an extra character and/or quest will be something...I'm hoping under $10 but I don't know, anyone have any idea?)

There is all sorts of stuff. Weapon packs, armour packs , character packs probably cost more for the DLC than it does for the game if you wanted everything.

I never really got DLC myself since it's only good as long as my interest in the game lasts. I did get the free stuff with the PS3 ME2 but that either made the game a joke difficulty wise, or was ok , just not worth paying for.

No. He hacked the files somehow or manipulated some memory to make many available. You only get a few weapons from store so you have max 16 weapons. 3 snipers ( Viper, Mantis, Widow), 3 Assault guns ( Avenger, Mattock and Revenant), all 4 SMG though ( the new Hornet, Shuriken, Tempest and Locust), 3 shotguns ( Katana, Scimitar and Claymore) and 3 heavy pistols ( Phalanx, Predator and Carnifex). Once you upgrade common guns to X, you then get very very rare upgrades for rare guns ( Widow, Revenant, Hornet, Claymore and Carnifex).

At least i got that from 200 veteran packs :D Maybe i'm wrong, but i'm not clicking to purchase things anymore. :D

Ah, well, better than I. I was assuming that's how he got them, I haven't got even as near as many as you!

Hmm, maybe they should just start making GCI Movies/OVA's and skip the hassle of making games altogether?

Well i got them all now by editing some files. Can't use most of them anyway, just the Scorpion pistol, Eviscerator shotgun and Raptor sniper. Back to waiting for the game now. :D

Take any ego-stroking, promiscuos, cheesy and slightly epic action movie and turn all the action sequences into minigames and add dialogue choices where there is nothing to choose from and you've got yourself a Bioware/ME game.. More or less.

I think it would be harder to milk the audience with just a movie, because of all the obvious reasons about entertainment value, replayability, attention spans, coverage, community chatter and so on.. I think the only viable alternative to a ME game would be something like a ME seasonal show.. Something to keep reminding you, what you were watching last week..

But it would be easy for Bioware to add a scripted 'Video' experience to ME3, but then they wouldn't be able to make the movie afterwards to squeeze it a notch more in the end..

I was toying around with putting all the cutscenes and dialogue sequences of ME and ME2 together.. Recording them with Fraps as I played along, but it was more fun to make than to watch.. There are only a few 'witty' renegade options to spice it up and they are too far apart to pull such a longwinded, stale and boring experience. It's the combination of action and dialogue that makes ME great, imo, but they don't work well apart.. After awhile I also became more aware of all the 'wrong' dialogue choices that break the flow.. It would probably be more fun to redub it with something satirical or different voices.. Giving Shepard a hysterical, frail or squeeky voice or.. Maybe putting all the international versions together as one.. each character speaking a different language.. I just don't see Bioware make anything particular humorous consistently.
