Purkake Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Just Cause 2 is slightly tempting at that price. It's amazing, do it.
entrerix Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) just cause 2 is REALLY fun for about 2-8 hours. so for a couple bucks i'd say its worth it im hoping that two worlds 2 gets a %50 off sale, i won't get it until its $25 or less, but even if that doesnt happen this summer sale, come winter i'm sure it will get there (or even less) Edited July 1, 2011 by entrerix Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.

Then when you need to relax every now and then you steal a jet, tie a jeep to it, bomb an oil rig, drop the jeep on another and crash the jet into the third while standing on the wing and jumping off the last second. Oh and be sure to attach remote explosives to the jeep Kotor 1 is 2.50 Ugh.
Tale Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I think you sold me on Just Cause 2. But I'll have to get it for 360. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Guest Slinky Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I tried the demo of Just Cause 2 on xbox 360 some time ago. Took me 5min to see I would be bored to death of it. I must be the arch enemy of reckless fun.
Purkake Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Get it for whatever runs it. It's amazing on everything. You do get way awesome graphics on the PC though...

Purkake Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Do you recommend a controller for the PC Purk? No idea, I have a special glass case with a fake DualShock 2, but I only break it in case of emergencies. I was fine with M/KB, but a controller is probably better
Blodhemn Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Started up Borderlands - this game is borderline crap. So far I feel ripped off at the $7.50 I payed for it. And I knew that little robot was going to piss me off from what I saw of it in the trailers. Does anyone really think that stuff is cute or funny? Dammmmn. Hopefully Just Cause 2 is good, cos now I just feel like destroying crap or maybe just continue another HL2 playthrough.

Claptrap is pretty annoying - but Borderlands is a game that is only really enjoyed with friends. I tried it solo and hated it, then I played it with 3 friends and it was great. The difficulty and pace is really good with 4 people. Alone it just feels like grinding. Fortune favors the bald.
Blodhemn Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Looks like another game that's going to be put on the back burner for a while then as my Steam friends list contains a whopping "0" people. Yeah I'm pretty turned off at the amount of containers you're having to open up for money and ammo at the start of the game and the "missions" that are just tacked on one after another - just all generic gameplay really.

Labadal Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I said I wouldn't buy anything. Well, I did try buy something despite of what I said. The thing is that STEAM won't take my money. Obviously, my money isn't good enough. *shakes fist at STEAM*
GreasyDogMeat Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Purkake convinced me and I got Just Cause 2... and 1. Can't beat 10 bucks for two games. Also picked up Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 (already have for 360 but now that I've got an upgraded PC...) and the Painkiller package. Tried the demos and remembered enjoying them. Now waiting for that download to finish...
Purkake Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Making the world a funner place, one person at a time Just Cause 1 is a sucky pile of suck, except for the awesome paragliding Be on lookout for Red Faction: Guerrilla, if the JC2 style of crazy fun appeals to you.
Hurlshort Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I played a couple hours of Just Cause 2 last night. Still getting the hang of all the controls, but it's as fun as ever. I don't even bother with the storyline, I just travel from village to village trying to get all the crates and destroy all the red stuff. The DLC is interesting, but I need more money to buy the cool stuff. Don't forget to go find the airship casino folks, that thing is awesome.
Hurlshort Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I just picked up Darksiders for $5. Looks interesting enough, but I will probably keep it on the shelf for a bit.
vault_overseer Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I got JC2 on 360, but I did just pick up bad company 2 for PC. wanna see how bigger battles feel like

You do get better unlocks if you do the missions and they're all really fun...
