Bulletstorm Edited December 25, 2010 by Morgoth Rain makes everything better.
Bendu Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 First Day: Total War: Shogun II Dungeon Siege 3 Battlefield: Bad Company 3 Mass Effect 3 Diablo 3 Assassins Creed 3 Rage Maybe: Dragon Age 2 (But I think I will wait for the Unlimited Edition) Witcher 2 (Same here. Waiting for the Super Special Enhanced Platinum Directors Cut Edition) Brink Elder Scrolls V Deus Ex: HR
Labadal Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Dungeon Siege III Dragon Age 2 Diablo III The Witcher 2 Torchlight II LittleBigPlanet 2 inFAMOUS 2 Batman: Arkham City Portal 2 Outland Trine 2 Dead State Risen 2 Mass Effect 3 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Gorth Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Getting for sure: Possibly, depending on several factors: Mass Effect 3 (will probably wait for the catchup thing with exp/dlc though) Dungeon Siege 3 (to satisfy my curiosity) The Witcher 2 (depending on how horrible the qte, minigames and twitch factor is. If they go all "cinematic", I'll drop it) Dead Space 2 (need to dig out a lot more info on that one) Might get myself the new Bloodbowl game next (although it already out). “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Starwars Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Dungeon Siege 3 most likely. The Witcher 2 most likely as well, though it'll depend a bit on... well, how good it seems when it comes out I suppose. Probably Diablo 3 as well. Those are the only ones (that are fairly sure to drop in 2011 anyways) I'm almost sure to get. Hurlshort Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Well, just for the first couple months there are a couple big ones I plan on trying to get. Two Worlds 2 - Got it pre-ordered and I have a gift card to cover the difference. Dragon Age 2 - Probably will pre-order it soon enough. TW Shogun 2 - Might be a day one purchase, depends on my schedule. I'd put Dungeon Siege III on the list, but I question the relased date on it. We haven't seen much yet, so a March release seems a bit tough. Considering AP was delayed for a like a year, I'll wait and see.
WorstUsernameEver Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Definitely: The Witcher 2 Likely: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Batman: Arkham City, Portal 2 Maybe, maybe not: Dragon Age II, Dungeon Siege III, Mass Effect 3 Pretty unlikely but I'm not counting them out entirely: RAGE, Diablo III, TES V: Skyrim Most likely going to be turd: Duke Nukem Forever
Nepenthe Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Day1: Dragon Age 2 Deus Ex Human Revolution Mass Effect 3 Maybe/probably: LA Noire Portal 2 Witcher 2 You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
greylord Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 definately Dragon Age 2 Mass Effect 2 (for PS3) Dungeon Siege III Torchlight 2 Mass Effect III Maybe...depending on how it turns out Diablo III Starcraft II Expansion X-men Destiny
Majek Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 definitely: DA2 DX:HR LBP2 Witcher 2 Torchlight 2 ME 3 Uncharted 3 Batman: Arkham City DSIII maybe Dead space 2 1.13 killed off Ja2.
Guest Slinky Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Already pre-ordered: The Witcher 2 Deus Ex: Human Revolution Will buy: Mass Effect 3 (if it is released) Half-Life 2: Ep3 (if it is released) Portal 2 Might buy, depending how they turn out: Dragon Age 2 Diablo 3
LadyCrimson Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Diablo3, because I must have it, even if it turns out I don't play it much.... Probably Dungeon Siege3. Probably Grim Dawn, assuming they finish it in 2011, which I'm unsure about. That's it for my known list. If I buy anything else it'll be on impulse or because I read on forums how awesome a game is/sounds like it might be a game I'd like. “Things are as they are. sorophx Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 not too much Dungeon Siege 3 here. I expected to see it in every single post Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. And having been educated solely by mkreku in this respect I am convinced that Finland essentially IS the wh40k universe.
Purkake Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) not too much Dungeon Siege 3 here. I expected to see it in every single post Considering the developer's track record, I will steer clear unless proved otherwise. Edited December 25, 2010 by Purkake
Raithe Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Deus Ex HR is on pre-order (yes, the augmented edition, I want the shiny art book and soundtrack..) Mass Effect 3 I'm most likely to give SW The Old Republic a try.. Dragon Age 2 is pretty likely, just to get a hands on for what they do. Homefront I'll keep an eye on, but undecided just at the moment. What are the odds of Red Dead Redemption finally making it to the pc over this upcoming year? Dungeon Siege 3 is one I'll wait and see on. Hasn't got me all excited just yet. Apart from that, there isn't much that's hovering on my awareness. Morgoth Posted December 25, 2010 Author Posted December 25, 2010 Ah, I also forgot RAGE. Definitely a must-buy. Not so sure about DS3 actually, there's a possibility Obsidian didn't get enough time to polish things up. SE is also very quite about the game which is not a good sign. Maybe it will be a dead born child. Rain makes everything better.
Bendu Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 SE is also very quite about the game which is not a good sign. I think this will change soon. I hope. https://twitter.com/#!/squareenixdave/s...163663143706624
Hurlshort Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 not too much Dungeon Siege 3 here. I expected to see it in every single post Considering the developer's track record, I will steer clear unless proved otherwise. That doesn't make any sense, they have a great track record. This year alone they released two of the best RPG's I've played in a long while.
Purkake Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 ...that are buggy and unpolished. To each their own, I guess.
Nightshape Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 ...that are buggy and unpolished. To each their own, I guess. Yeah, but that doesn't mean they're not fun. I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Hurlshort Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Bugs are a fairly individual issue. I didn't encounter anything major in AP or FO:NV. Polish is also pretty deep in the personal opinion realm, I mean neither game is what I would call ugly or clunky. In my opinion, they were both fun and engaging, which is why I love them. I finished both, which speaks volumes about how engaging they are. I probably only finish about 10% of the games I buy. Usually I have fun with a game for awhile, but then I stopped being engaged and move on to something else. AP and FO:NV kept my full attention all the way through, so that makes them two of my top games. I didn't finish NWN2, by the way, so it isn't just blind fanboyism.
Purkake Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) ...that are buggy and unpolished. To each their own, I guess. Yeah, but that doesn't mean they're not fun. Did I say anything of the sort? This thread is about what games you are getting in 2011, all this is my personal preference, not the one universal truth. Edited December 25, 2010 by Purkake
Tigranes Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Dungeon Siege 3, The Witcher 2, Diablo 3 and Deus Ex 3 are my personal must buys. (Yeah, they're all sequels, huh.) Age of Decadence and Dead State are on there if they make it out the conveyor belt. Elder Scrolls V - probably, depending on info. Dragon Age II and Shogun:TW2 probably on the bargain bin list. I just read an interview about how the Shogun AI is "too good" and had to be scaled down - hey, guys, you said the exact same thing about an earlier release in the franchise and guess what, it was too stupid to run in a straight line. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Games I will get on day-one or soon after: Dragon Age 2 Witcher 2 Dungeon Siege 3 Mass Effect 3 Culpa Innata 2 Torchlight 2 Trine 2 Dead State Games I will get sometime (after the price goes down): XCOM Portal 2 Crysis 2 Games I might, or might not, pick-up: Diablo 3 Duke Nukem Forever Deus Ex Human Revolution Elder Scrolls V Dead Space 2 Total War: Shogun 2 "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
