Morgoth Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Update: Munch runs flawless, no crashes or other purported bugs. Only thing that sucks is the control scheme with mouse/keyboard. I tried with a gamepad, but I couldn't move my character. Well, that's definately a bug. Rain makes everything better.
Guest Slinky Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks Morgoth, sounds like lazy PC port once again. I think I skip this one, PS1 version of Abe's Exoddus with emulator is all I need.
Morgoth Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 The Pc versions of the Abe games run great though. Munch is not really my cup of tea. Not just because of the whacky controls, but because it just isn't a good game. Stranger though is a lot of fun. Wish I could play it with my native res though. Rain makes everything better.
SadExchange Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 This is just more proof that it pays to just wait a couple of months or a year or so to buy a game. My friends are bothering me to get BF:BC2, anyone here play it and like it ? I played it quite a bit and have moved over the pc as of late and am still enjoying it quite a bit. Definitely a better community online and for that price, it's easily worth it.
Tale Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) They have a Gothic Bundle today. I bought Gothic 2 and hear that both 3 and 4 suck, so I feel like I already got what I would want from it. Anyone actually like 3 and 4? Or prefer them to 2? Disciples III and Polynomial look nice. Any Aion fans? Edited December 21, 2010 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Morgoth Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Gothic 3 was a crapfest. I only played the demo to Gothic 4, and while technically competent, it felt cheap and just....bad. Stick with G1/2. Rain makes everything better.
Majek Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Wow Witcher is cheap today. Real cheap. 1.13 killed off Ja2.
WorstUsernameEver Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Nothing interesting so far. My wallet is saying thanks to Valve.
Morgoth Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Yup I also got the Witcher. Never got around to play the Enhanced Edition. Rain makes everything better.

Vilhelm Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) My favourite arcade racer for $5?! Oh, Steam, what would I do without you! Edited December 21, 2010 by Vilhelm

What do you think it means? That he already played the original. Which means that he can get the Enhanced Edition patch for free.
Lexx Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Bought The Wither today and yesterday the Oddbox, because of Stranger's Wrath. Sadly, it's a ****ty console port with ****ty controls and no real graphic options... bleh. "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Malcador Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Well BC2's sale is over, missed my chance. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Nepenthe Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Wow Witcher is cheap today. Real cheap. Took advantage of it, too. The sale, I mean. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
Tale Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) I miss the adventure genre. Every now and then I browse Steam's selection. 3/4 of the games are action/adventure or RPGs. They list Just Cause 2! A few puzzlers. And the remainder I don't know if they're any good. Ooh, Sherlock Holmes Collection at 75% off! Malcador Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Give AlternativA a gander. Seems interesting so far. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Deadly_Nightshade Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Well BC2's sale is over, missed my chance. Yeah, I missed it as well. And today's sales are either things I already have or things I'm not that interested in... Oh well, I guess that's more money to spend on other things. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Orchomene Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Siberia is a good adventure game, but seems to be absent from Steam. Gamersgate may have it : http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-SYB12/syberia...dle-pack-bundle Machinarium is fun. Both are point and click adventure games. Gamersgate has a better choice of classic adventure games. I also heard that broken sword is good, but not yet tested. Edited December 21, 2010 by Orchomene
Tale Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I already own Syberia. Hated it back when I played it when it was released. Broken Sword are good. I've finally played them all, in a weird order. 3, 4, 1, 2 "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Serrano Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) If you've not played Yahtzee's adventure games then you really should. They're free and surprisingly well made for indie titles. http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/5days/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/7days/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/notes/ http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/6days/ Edited December 21, 2010 by Serrano
Tale Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Also have played all of those. I don't think I ever finished the last one, though. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
