DA will probably outsell it big time, but it's no more a competitor than Modern Warfare 2 or Assassin's Creed 2.

I don't think anyone is an exclusive wRPG player, though. If it gets buried under enough other stuff, it might get permanently lost.

That's a valid point, though as a fan of the genre I play pretty much any (post-NWN) WRPG I hear about eventually.

We're not really the mainstream here, not even the wRPG mainstream. We are but fraction of a fraction of people who will hopefully buy AP.

AP and DA are the only two games I plan to buy this year. L4D2 is a mebby.

Not really. Alpha Protocol comes out before Dragon Age and so I would think that it would, if anything, get more sales because of that rather than less.

Except the overhead camera only applies to the PC version.

Most people looking at the cover won't know that it's a RPG. Their definition of RPG is probably from FFVII as well...
