Obsidian's another unannounced title?

World of Darkness would make a lot of sense with all this Twilight/vampire stuff in development right now.

Nah, completely wrong demographic. Twilight is obsessed over by teeny boppers.

Imagine how we could scare them with a VtM game/movie.

There's also True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Let the Right One In and its remake, Thirst, Daybreakers, Blood: The Last Vampire, Bubba Nosferatu, an attempted Buffy the Vampire Slayer remake. Dorff and Norrington want to do a Deacon Frost Blade spinoff, Marvel themselves have mentioned making more Blade movies. One of the only potential new characters they've mentioned for Spider-Man 4 is Morbius the Living Vampire, and I doubt Twilight's success discourages the idea.

There's the Wolfman remake later this year, there's an announced American Werewolf in London remake, and once New Moon is out don't be surprised if they start dusting off everything from Teen Wolf to The Howling.

For as long as these Twilight movies are coming out and making loads of money, you're going to see more vampire and werewolf stuff everywhere.

The Vampire Diaries

Isn't that a Porn film?

As long as they are better then Twilight.....

It will be Carnage.

As for Obsidians new game, I vote for it to be based on Jeremiah. Now that would be a game.

But what makes it successful? Is it because it's a movie adaptation of an immensely popular book about a generic teenage love drama, or is it because it happens to be about vampires?

Considering the dwarf avatar, this should be a game in a heroic fantasy setting...

Well I'm sure they want something to use that Onyx engine they got brewing.

And a Song of Ice and Fire game would be boss. Especially if GRRM was actively involved, though I'd also like DwD to just come out already.

For years now fans of my epic fantasy series A Song of Ice & Fire have been writing and emailing me to suggest... ask... beg for the books to be made into a videogame. I'm thrilled to be able to announce that, at long last, those requests are being answered. Cyanide Studios, an independent videogame developer based in Nanterre, France, has acquired an exclusive option to develop Ice & Fire as both an RTS (Real Time Strategy) and RPG videogame for next generation consoles and PC.

Cyanide will begin development immediately, with an eye toward rolling out the games for release in the summer of 2011. "We are all huge fans of 'A Song of Ice and Fire', so it is a true honour for our teams to be entrusted with creating the first video games inspired by this masterpiece" said Patrick Pligersdorffer, Managing Director of Cyanide. "The twists and turns of the plot will allow us to deliver an experience which can be enjoyed by both long-time fans as well as gamers new to the series. Its rich web of characters, set in a universe where nothing is just black and white, make it an ideal background for both an RTS and an RPG."

Nothing, just that someone else has the rights to do a Song of Ice and Fire game, so I don't see Obsidian doing one any time soon.

Even Twilight's lead actor thought the books were rubbish.

And Keanu Reeves is a big fan of The day the Earth stood still, so he only agreed to the role when he was sure the remake would live up to it's predecessor.

Imagine how we could scare them with a VtM game/movie.

I actually invited a few Twilight fans to my last Masquerade pen-and-paper game, I had found them in one of the common areas of my university and decided to have some fun, with fairly predictable results as the first play character undead they encountered –I had offered to let them start as ghouls or fledglings but they had, for some reason, declined- was an extremely well done, sociopathic Nosferatu who proceeded to maul one and turn the other. Needless to say that the poor girl, upon finding herself a grotesque monstrosity, the antithesis of her beloved “Eddy,” did not continue for long - although, interestingly, the other fan actually embraced the game and became a decent enough player by the end and will be invited to the next campaign. :)

Maybe because you're a **** DM. :*

And maybe you're a **** poster. -_-

But, seriously, the fact that one of them stuck around, not to mention the fact that they turned out to be a decent player, was a pleasant surprise. I am not sure if the same group is going continue into the next game seeing as it is a Cthulhu universe scenario and not a Masquerade setting –most of the players mainly do world of Darkness- but I suspect more than a few of them will. Anywho, I suspect you really don’t give a crap, and were simply trolling for the lulz, so this is unnecessary and superfluous.
