Street Fighter IV, for nostalgic reasons.

And that's about it, I think. Stuff like Dragon Age and Fallout 3 are pretty peripheral for me at this point.

Have to add Diablo III to my list now XD!

D3 has been added to my very short list.

Hmm, in no particular order.

Alpha Protocol: I would love playing an RPG outside the fantasy and sci-fi genre.

Aliens RPG: The very concept is pleasing to me.

Dragon Age: Spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate? Yes please.

NWN2 Zehir: Overland maps and customizable party!

Starcraft 2: Must play to find out what happens to Kerrigan, Zeratul, Raynor. Plus its Starcraft!

Diablo 3: I will play this if I am still alive and ticking after Starcraft 2. Please let the releases be far far apart.

Mass Effect 2: Though I was a little disappointed in the overall game of ME1, I'm curious as to how they'll continue the story.

Sith Lords Restoration Project: Can't wait for this one.

Fallout 3: If its anything like vanilla Oblivion(it was fun with mods though), I'll probably be disappointed. I really hope Bethesda surprises everyone.

Spiritual successor to ALL their games.

I'm pretty sure that they've mostly mentioned NWN, the Baldurs gate series and KOTOR.

Also:

A lot of different opinions, wonder when will the devs decide to chime in to clarify what it means exactly?
The last time the subject came up, in fact.

Even on our side, however, it's largely subjective. I can tell you what it means for me to carry on the spirit of a game in a new project-- but there is no "real" definition

My list of games that need playing:

NWN2 - I've started and stopped before the end two times now and want to finish it before I buy MOTB

C&C: Tiberian Sun - Need to finish again before C&C3

C&C 3

Games that I'm looking forward to:

Dragon Age

Red Aler 3

Left 4 Dead

Spore

Fallout 3

Diablo III

NWN: SoZ

Alpha Protocol

Aliens RPG

Starcraft 2

Way too many games in the future.

Too bad Grad school begins when these games come out. Darn. Perhaps there will be a way...

Had a look at some of all those links mkreku posted. Never heard about most them. Some of them do look interesting though and I might even be able to run them :*

The common denominator for all those games are that they're free-roaming. All, except perhaps Stalker: Clear Sky which hasn't been exactly clear about how they've made the new maps. Also, a surprising amount of them are being developed in eastern Europe or even further east. I don't know why but it seems eastern developers are more in line with my thinking than western developers. Uh, except Japanese developers who just plain suck. Too far east!

But I'm extremely happy to see so many free-roaming projects being developed! Gaming future has never looked to bright!

From the makers of dungeon siege, it looks very interesting and I like what they are doing with keeping your humanity or becoming more cyborg for the power. Supposedly it will be out in september.
