There are explosions going on, but it seems everything and everyone is waiting on YOU and only YOU to proceed and do your thing in order for the world to keep moving. It doesn't a great great job of maintaining the illusion of a big war going on around you, but that's just judging from a 5-10min demo.

Sounds a bit like CoD games, where nothing happens, or enemies keep respawning, until Player Character moves forward.

It is times like these that I suspect you people play games by hiding behind barrels.

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

And just what do you mean by "you people", you filthy racist?

Let's talk about the PS3 then!

I'm still waiting for it to be worthwhile in its amount of games. Do you people have any potential recomendations outside of the well known?

Don't all PS2 and PSX games work on the PS3?

I think the PS3's that cost more have PS2 compatibility.

Well, actually, there isn't a single PS3 currently being manufactured with PS2-BC. The older models had them. The latest one, IIRC, that had it was the 80gig MGS4 bundle. The current 40 and 80 gig PS3s being sold don't have it.

I think the MGS4 bundle was designed to get rid of the last of the "old model" PS3's.

Honestly it's probably more cost effective to pick up a PS2 right now.

That's what I've been thinking of doing for a long time, now. I would probably connect it to my PC screen.

So many PS2 games I'd like to give a try and can't.

Did I understand something wrong? I thought only first PS3s had PS2 "chip" or whatever in them and all the rest play PS2 games via software emulation. So all of the PS3s are backwards compatible. Firsts ones are just slightly better at it.

What are you talking about? There's Worms HD on XBLA, and they're also porting Worms Armaggedon onto it soon as well.

Ehm i think you are in wrong thread

I'm pretty sure that Llyr was right back up there.

Wiki is your friend.

Seems like really odd thing to do. Why cancel already made software emulation?

I bought the latest 80GB model several days ago and can confirm that it indeed doesn't run PS2 games. :betrayerofthePC:
