Pop
Plenty. Bioshock, Unreal Tournament 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War (I think) and lots more have been made using variations on UE3. The characteristic that seems to run through all of them is a trend towards plasticine character models. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality! WILL THE ALMIGHTY
Wait, Mass Effect uses the Unreal 3 engine? Why isn't there any environmental destruction at all then? Tale
off topic: I just reread the threads title and I 've got to ask: Why is he (Chris Avellone) called MCA? P.S.: Sorry for that. Only thing I can think is that Chris is his middle name, not his first. But I find no support for that. Maybe people took to calling him Mr. Chris Avelone. Spider
Maybe people took to calling him Mr. Chris Avelone. Actually, that is what MCA stands for iirc. I don't remember where it originates from though. (for a long time I thought it was a nickname Sawyer gave him, there was a while where he wrote about some people as dj:s and such. So I thought MCA meant MC Avellone. This was during Torment's production. Man I've been hanging around these boards way too long)
Magister Lajciak
I had no idea that Mass Effect uses the Unreal 3 engine - I assumed BioWare developed its own engines. In any case, does the usage of the Unreal 3 engine restrict rules implementation in some way?
J.E. Sawyer
MCA = Master of Ceremonies Avellone or Mic Controller Avellone, after MCA from Beastie Boys. I don't think anyone came up with it for him internally. The Black Isle rap name for Avellone was Cube DCube. twitter tyme

Amentep
And here I was thinking it was simply, Mr Chris Avellone. Better than me, I just figured Chris was his middle name (or a derivative thereof, like Christopher) and his first name began with "M" (something like "Malcolm" or "Mandlebrot"), hence MCA. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
