Calax Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Gifted1 is the problem you're having the black morass run? Yes, yes it is (The Master Touch quest specifically). Its like Wipefest 07 in there. With the exception of one single time reaching the 3rd boss (and wiping), we always wipe on the 2nd boss. And I can honestly say its not me as I single handedly deal with all the adds. *sigh* Such is the life of pug's. find a guild group... or run warrior 3 rogues and a healer (trust me, fastest run I've ever done) Yeah, I know. Unfortunately my guild is crap and isnt interested in doing any of the "little things". Ive run it with a warrior, pally, warlock, priest and me (mage) and it was a disaster. The closest I ever got was warrior, rogue, priest x 2 and mage. TBH, Im not even sure why Im busting my hump to get that key as I loathe raid instances. Unfortunaltey though Kara is the place to get the uber pimp gear. I know what you mean... the thing is they just removed attunement from the 2 25 man raids for better groups Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
jaguars4ever Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Just finished Trials of the Luremaster for the very first time. Wasn't too impressed with it to be honest, but I suppose you can't expect much for a free download. Regardless, for the record: Durlag's Tower > Luremaster's castle.
chris the jedi killer Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Going to check if my Kotor is still working so i can finish where i left out if it does not i'll play number2 A coward dies a thousand deaths but a soulja dies one~ 2Pac

mr insomniac Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Still playing Halflife 2. Somewhere on the coast road, heading for Nova Prospekt. Was feeling nostalgic the other day so I re-installed Halflife. I dunno if it's my dual core rig or not, but ran into a few bugs during the opening sequence, and I've found the movement to be kinda clunky. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.

Or at least it did. Try changing the priority to one core. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
mr insomniac Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Okay, thanks for the tip . Oddly enough, halflife is the first of my older games that i've had any trouble with... so far. Tale Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I finished Overlord and will be playing Hitman 2. Apparently Eidos's support site has nothing but corrupted patches. So, I'm patching from Fileplanet. Eidos's forums and website are outdated, too. They're advertising Blood Money as Coming Soon and the forums still say that Contracts is the latest game in the series. Wasn't too impressed with it to be honest, but I suppose you can't expect much for a free download. Regardless, for the record: Durlag's Tower > Luremaster's castle. Durlag's Tower is the best dungeon crawl ever. Luremaster was a pale comparison. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Enoch Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) Durlag's Tower is the best dungeon crawl ever. I seem to be in the minority in that I found Durlag's tower rather tedious; I lost interest somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd dungeon level and never bothered to finish it. Maybe I just don't have the patience for pure dungeon crawls. (I have never been able to replay either of the IWD games for long.) Anyhow, last night I started up a Sicilian campaign in M2TW. I went to bed shortly after assuring that the Doge of Venice sleeps with the fishes. (Serves him right after betraying our alliance!) Edited July 5, 2007 by Enoch
Ellester Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Durlag's Tower is probably the best expansion of the ie games. Too bad the rest of the expansion kinda sucked. But I'm also a fan of Trial of the Luremaster. I thought it blew away the regular expansion for IWD. Life is like a clam. Deraldin Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 One of these days I will have to beat Durlag's Tower. I only tried it once and the first floor cleaned itself with the broken bodies of my companions and I.

Istima Loke Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Exams are over (finally) and so I just bought Resident Evil 4 for the wii. I tried it out and it looks nice. I am also starting Ocarina of Time on an emulator and possibly continue NWN2 (from where I left it before the exams) and I will try Icewind Dale (HotW) tomorrow (let's see if it runs on vista). So many games to play, so little time... I think therefore I am? Could be! Or is it really someone else Who only thinks he's me?

Musopticon? Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Fallout Tactics became redundant robot bashing. After getting Sunbeam Gatling Laser from Buena Vista, it didn't even pose challenge anymore. So I quit for a while. Eh, the game is nearly over as it is. Downloaded the Daemonhunters modification for DoW:Dark Crusade and messed around with it for a bit. Nice for a modification, very finished and good-looking, but I've never warmed for Ordo Malleus and their Grey Knights and playing as Inquisition felt more like teching as fast as possible to Grey Knights and Land Raiders. That said, it isn't all that different from playing Space Marines, you just don't have the same turtling capabilities. I did like the scholar support squads however, a platform for different specialists, a good idea there. Also, I once again, after almost 5 months hiatus, fell for Rome:Total War. So, I downloaded Europa Barbarorum, a ton of fixpacks and now am going to start as Getai, do some bloodwork for tarabostes and then go for Macedon. There goes all free time again... kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food.
