Atreides
Quick update on my warlock/rogue. I'm loving her so far. The warlock Leaps and Bounds buff for 24 hr +4 dex is amazing! Btw is there a console input that lets me exploring female "romances" with my female character? Spreading beauty with my katana.

RQScott
Multiselect for DM's and Players is great. Are we able to catch the selected targets via scripts? At the moment you can catch up the target of a pc inside a script, and it would be really great beeing able to catch more than one selected target. Which target will be returned by the script if you selected more than one? Will there be a GetFirstTarget/GetNextTarget function? This could be used for implementing things easier. I startet changing the spells to d20SRD, for example: The Target for spell "Animate Dead" can be one (or more) corpses. I run into problems realising that, because i had to change the spells target to area, and make the pc able to pickup and move corpses, so he had to move all corpses he wants to use with this spell together. That works well, but i would preffer to simply let the player select more than one target. Any details?
Wistrik
I was playing NWN2 last night, after running NTune on my system and wringing a bit more performance out of it. Kept Neeshka along for awhile this time, and did my best to be nice, but unbending. Got the predictable -1 with her now and then, but then she's a bit narrow-minded. Got to see the insult contest between her, Khelgar and Qara in Duncan's tavern, which was... rated G. Heh. Still can't get the camera down to ground level; it stops at chest level of whatever character I'm viewing and won't go any lower. I guess Obsidian doesn't want us taking scenic screenshots like the kind NWN allowed. Nothing really new to report on. Playing a monk who is now level 9. Found out the player character is as apt to attack a dead body as other party members are. Had him circle-kick/flurry a dead guy three times last night before he bothered to acquire a new target. We're coming up on patch 1.05 and they still haven't fixed target re-acquisition. I emailed them about it, so we'll see. I emailed them about it, so we'll see. Yeah, a variant of that problem was annoying me last night. I'm a control freak puppet-moder, so I have to manually reassign targets all the time anyway. The thing that bugs me is that whenever a character is knocked down, I have to make sure to tell them to keep attacking their opponent when they stand up again. I fought the red dragon last night, and I think the Construct stood around for half the battle doing nothing because it got knocked down and was never ordered to attack again. (I was busy managing my spellcasters, and I just assumed that the melee attacks were missing due to concealment & DR.)
Wistrik
I think that's part of the idea behind puppet mode, but I could be wrong. Knockdown apparently has other issues (from what I've read: ignoring DCs, feats, etc.) so it could be breaking the rules here. I play on puppet mode, and often park the party by the front door while I run around having fun in a pseudo-solo way. They always warp to me if there's a crucial conversation or quest point, so no worries there. Anyway, I think I'll fire Obsidian another email tonight. They want reproduceable bugs; all they have to do is launch the game, turn off puppet mode, and go into combat. It's (target acquisition bug) as plain as day, and happens all the time. Enoch
I think that's part of the idea behind puppet mode, but I could be wrong. Oh, I wouldn't call my problem a bug-- this is separate from the problems with the knockdown feat. I see it as a rather annoying and illogical choice by the developers. It seems to me that, when a character is directed to attack an enemy, he should continue doing so until either he receives a new order or that enemy is defeated. I don't see how getting knocked on one's ass should terminate the standing attack order.
Atreides
Heya, does my warlock/rogue also get the 20% chance to miss when I drop Darkness (warlock invocation) when I get into fights? It seems everyone on my party gets the Darkness status except for the caster. I'm a Tiefling but they're not supposed to see through magical darkness, right? Spreading beauty with my katana. thepixiesrock
So I got the game saturday and I have a rogue guy. But what's the deal with like, multi-classing or whatever it's called. When should I do it, and is it like having two classes, or is it just like switching to a different class? Or is it not like either? Sand
You gain the abilities on top of your abilities you had for your first class. They simply build on one another. A good class to multiclass with Rogue is Fighter. Go even with rogue and fighter till fourth, the focus on rogue. You can get the extra feats to set yourself up as a decent dexterity based frontliner with the ability to handle most traps and locks without the use of thieves' tools. The two best races for that combination are human and lightfoot halfling. Human for that extra feat at first level and the extra skill points. Lightfoot halfling for the dexterity bonus, the bonus to saves, and the bonus for attack and defense due to size. Sand
Warlock would be a good choice if they had Range Sneak Attacks stack with Eldritch Blast. *HINT HINT* Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer. @\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?" thepixiesrock
That would be great, but why are you hinting to me? There's nothing I can do about it. You should write a letter to Obsidian or something. Also, it said I got Eldritch Blast, but I don't know how to use it or where it is. Sand
I like using Eldritch Spear.
