thepixiesrock Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Tom Waits - Top of the Hill. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Checkpoint Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The Jeevas - What Is It For? ^Yes, that is a good observation, Checkpoint. /God
Blarghagh Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Today I listened to two leaked albums: Audioslave - Revelations I am pleasantly surprised. The only song of it that is actually absolutely terrible is the single. Some of them are pretty good. There's a lot of filler but it's passable. I like the title track. They don't rock out like on their debut, but it's a lot better than 'Out Of Exile'. Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life And Death Yes, I know it's already out, but I had downloaded it a couple of days before it came out. I just hadn't gotten around to listening to it. It kicks quite a bit of ass, but I knew that already. This is a good album for people who, like me, had absolutely no problem with Brave New World and Dance Of Death.
the dude Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 A#1- Desert Sessions 5 & 6 words are weightless here on earth because they're free
Kor Qel Droma Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Warren Zevon - Poor Poor Pitiful Me Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.

Kor Qel Droma Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Todd Rundgren - Bang On The Drum All Day I don't want to work, I want to bang on the drum all day Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.

Dark_Raven Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Slayer "Flesh Storm" Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Kor Qel Droma Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Social Distortion - Reach For Sky I picked up two cds' after work today: SD's Sex, Love & Rock 'n' Roll and a FIne Young Cannibals greatest hits compilation. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Darth Drabek Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 i met a girl in west hollywood i ain't naming names but she really worked me over good she was just like jesse james How's the new(ish) SD, Kor? I listened to the new Audioslave today. Some songs seemed pretty good, others seemed pretty mediocre, but overall it seems to be better than the last album. Todd Snider - Looking for a Job baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Blarghagh Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I agree. Some of the better ones were more melodic, the more mediocre ones had those boring 'rough' guitar riffs which seemed to just scream "man, I'm Tom Morello from RATM! Let me play a goddamned riff! I want to riff, DAMMIT!" Alice In Chains - Sludge Factory
Musopticon? Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 (edited) Link me with something decent, my cds are absent here and it's really hard to just come up with something to listen on a school computer. Edit: Almost forgot. Please. Edited September 4, 2006 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Kor Qel Droma Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 How's the new(ish) SD, Kor? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One of the things about Mike Ness and SD is that you always know pretty much what they're going to sound like. It's like he knows what he's good at and doesn't stray too far from the formula. That being said, I like this batch of songs. Social Distortion - NIckles and Dimes Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Darth Drabek Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 There's some good links in there. YouTube seems to be down for me anyway though, or else I'd find something fresh for ya, Mus. for what? While doing some shopping after work I found Genius: The Best Of Warren Zevon for under seventeen bucks! I was one of 'those people' who only knew him for . But thanks to DD, I've been introduced to a really brilliant songwriter. Warren Zevon - <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh man, I remember seeing that show on Letterman. That was the first time I saw WZ do anything but "Werewolves." Dave gave him the entire show to talk and play music. He was a big fan. Nice find, Kor! Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - Prove it All Night Live in 1978. Man, the Boss could shred that Tele back in the day. (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Lemonheads - Bit Part baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Kor Qel Droma Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Youtube is back up and running ( at least for me) The Box Tops - Soul Deep Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Musopticon? Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 (edited) Warren Zevon- Werewolves of London Thanks Drabs, good stuff. Edit:And now it's Nas feat. Pete Rock - The world is yours Smooth, fluid and nice flow. Thanks Baleyman. Edited September 4, 2006 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Laozi Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Radiohead -- Karma Police My housemate just got a DVD with it, never saw the music video before, pretty funny really. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Darth Drabek Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I'm gonna have to pick up that Social D album... maybe at the show. Oh and is the Karma Police video any weirder than the Paranoid Android video? Because I swear I had nightmares after I first saw that thing... baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Kor Qel Droma Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I was just going to say that was the weirdest video I've seen since they made Just. Now I just started watching PA and now I'm not too sure... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Laozi Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I dunno, I've never really listened to Radiohead, I've got a housemate now who mopes around and tells me how great Radiohead is atleast twice a day, and thinks it would be really "cool" if we learned some of their songs so he can live out some mastubatory fantasies. On the other hands I've notice he always has atleast two girls in the house, so his angle can't be totally wrong. Miles Davis -- Autumn Leaves People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
