Nartwak Posted August 16, 2006 Share Posted August 16, 2006 (edited) Dwarf Fortress is awesome. My dwarves keep getting mauled, and then they go insane from post-traumatic stress. I guess it's hard to cope with life after a gorilla twists your legs into a pretzel. (Maybe you shouldn't have tried to wrestle that gorilla to death, huh stumpy?!) Fortunately I've learned how to farm now, so I won't need to send out hunters to die or maimed in the wild. It seems to be nicely complex and beautifully detailed and customizable hard-socio-politico-economic-historico-science, rather than the God-opera cartoon that Sid has turned his franchise into.
