Walsingham
My dream car is a chrome plated Casspir APC. I'd tool around picking you guys up and heading out to the beach. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder how many MPG that gets. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd like to see any enviro-weenies disturb me and my posse of sunshine crazed forumites. LadyCrimson
Well, if it's just any dream vehicle...if I was a billionare I'd definitely have one of those private leer jets. Plus a pilot, since I don't know how to fly. “Things are as they are. Rhombus
http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/Vehicles/Ne...nk__Thumbnail_1 Why? Because Susan Cooper, in one of my favorite series, has the characters ride around the Welsh countryside in a Land Rover. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Woo.. Land Rover rules.. there is no other 4x4xFAR.. or whatever that is. My brother has an old Series III, and it's awesome taking it out for some (illegal) off-roading with it, even in Sweden.. it's nothing compared to driving around here in Tanzania though, where I am atm... If I was rich I would drive a Range Rover... http://www.christophergriffith.com/adm/pho...ngeRoverWEB.jpg and dare to do this with it too.. http://www.autogaleria.pl/tapety/img/land_...r_2003_02_m.jpg Edited July 4, 2006 by Rhombus What do you want?.. Walsingham
Pah. My 4x4 beats yours to witihn an inch of its life. Especially when I have it fitted with those shocks which make it bump, and the underlights. Man I should totally buy one and have MTV pimp my ride. Can anyone find one to buy online? I'll try to write it off as a business expense. EDIT: I found this one for sale but no prices. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Cantousent
The difference is, my choice of rides allows you drive around a third world nation without getting hit by an RPG because the local paramilitaries mistake you for an armored personnel carrier. Musopticon?
I'll get a new new bike in a few weeks. Dear god, a bike with some sort of feedback, I hate hate hate going cross country with my assbuster. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. mkreku
I thought finns liked assbusters though? The Unimog. Still the best thing for off-road activities! Rhombus
Land Rovers though, are small enough to be used in most civilized places and pass as a "normal" car, aswell as being able to go way off-road into the deep jungle or desert or savannah... which is why I choose it over the Unimog, which yes, is rather cool aswell... Walsingham
'Mistaken' for an APC? It IS an APC! :D And if you want to hoof around the outback you'd better be ready to hit mines, which this baby can do without getting terribly bothered. Unlike your landrover. Rhombus
You know, the whole 3rd world.. where the best off-roading is IMO.. isn't filled with mines.. just stay out of places like Afganisthan, Sudan and Somalia and you should be pretty safe.. Sure, that goes for paramilitary people aswell I guess.. heh Anyways, my biggest reason for not choosing that or the Unimog is still the size.. What do you want?.. Pope
Seriously, I don't need no Ferraris, Maseratis or Porsches. In the "affordable" category, the Audi A3 Sportback totally does it for me. It'd have to be black though. Edited July 5, 2006 by Pope
