Draken Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Hey, Draken, tell me a little something about Wolfmother. General stuff, I mean. Should I bother looking for one of their albums? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wolfmother are great, in my opinion. Their excellent musical style, which focuses on melodic riffs and psychedelic lyrics, is reminiscent of old Doors and, dare I say it, Pink Floyd. I would reccomend checking out their self titled debut album, and see if you like their stuff. Pink Floyd- Another Brick in the Wall Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
julianw Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 No! Its a song! Honest! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No love for Linkin Park?! Listening to Fort Minor - Remember the Name.

Darth Drabek Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I picked up a Wolfmother EP last spring. I think it was a precursor to a full-length for them. Either way, they're a throwback to 70s metal a la Sabbath or Zeppelin (but mostly Sabbath). Anyway, I'm listening to Bruce Springsteen's crazy folk-rock ensemble tackle these old Pete Seeger songs. He uses the horn section from the Max Weinberg 7.... so La Bamba plays trombone on the CD! Well, that was cool to me anyway. Laozi Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Primus has alot of great songs, and some of them have nothing to do with meth. I've never had more pride as a bass player as the first time I really nailed down a couple of Primus songs. Blackalicious -- Supreme People People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Kor Qel Droma Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Rufus Wainwright - Across The Universe decent cover of a trippy Beatles song.
