metadigital Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0120669/ By far the greatest movie released that year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The book was much better. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

Baley Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Better? Maybe Much better? No. You just need some drugs to get in the *right* mood, or so I've been told...
Hurlshort Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Pearl Harbor was hard to watch. It had great action scenes, but the romance stuff was utter crap. My wife and I actually fast forwarded through all that towrds the last 3 hours. It was also like 7 hours long. Seriously, I was ready to fly into a battleship after watching that thing.
Volourn Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Bunch of haters the lot of you! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
alanschu Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I have nothing against a blockbuster movie. I enjoyed movies like Braveheart, Gladiator, and whatnot.

mkreku Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Bunch of haters the lot of you Be proud. You've chosen to like a movie that absolutely everyone seems to hate. Which is, after all, what this thread is about.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Volourn Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 "You've chosen to like a movie that absolutely everyone seems to hate." Well.. the movie grossed 200mil+ in theatres IIRC and I wasn't one of the people who saw it there so i'm sure others enjoyed it as well. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Dark_Raven Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I do not like "hero" movies they are too fake. You have the classic hero type who gets into a fight with 20 people, at once, and comes out with a few cuts and bruises if that. Pearl Harbor reminds me of that. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

You have the classic hero type who gets into a fight with 20 people, at once, and comes out with a few cuts and bruises if that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sort of like Chuck Norris' films. But hey, it's Chuck Norris, so it's okay.
Dark_Raven Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I thought I would see a comment about him round house kicking me in the head into next week for my insolent comment about "hero" characters. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
DeathScepter Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 *sees Chuck Norris walking behind Dark_Raven* *screams to Dark_Raven to duck*

Jediphile Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I actually felt that Shakespeare in Love was an excellent movie as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think so too, though not as good as Saving Private Ryan. Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums.
Jediphile Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Meh. You all suck. Pearl Harbour was a pretty darn good movie. Some people just have a habit of attacking blockbuster movies just because. I can't vouch for how (in)accurate it; but as far as drama, and action goes; PH was pretty damn good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was terrible. Okay, there were a few good fighter plane sequences in there, so it had some quality on the visual effects front, but otherwise it was complete drivel. Listen to the song from Team America: World Police - that says it all... I do have Pearl Harbor on DVD, but I got it in the cheap bin... and I paid too much... Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums.
metadigital Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I actually felt that Shakespeare in Love was an excellent movie as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gwyneth Moron spoils any film she is in. Laozi Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 I think so too, though not as good as Saving Private Ryan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hated Saving Private Ryan. The plot is just too ridiculous. Now A Thin Red Line thats a good movie. Get your Nolte up. Which brings us to The Good Thief I liked this films, but the friends I saw it with really hated it. I here Nolte started taking small doses of heroin for the role, thats crazy. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

The only thing I didn't really like about the movie was the nerfed tanks at the end It was a movie that evoked so much emotion in me....it's probably the only movie where scenes choked me up to the point where I was almost actually in tears.
