Oerwinde Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 So is this because all their good designers are busy? Because I'd think they'd promote from inside before hiring an outsider for this kind of thing. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Darque Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hopefully this doesn't mean someone is leaving
Draikin Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 It will be hard to find someone like that, they all work for Bioware/Bethesda/Obsidian already. Maybe an ex-designer from Troika ?

Maybe an ex-designer from Troika ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would bet on a ex-Troika employee as well, unless they all got jobs already. SteveThaiBinh Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 It might mean they've signed this new project that was rumoured. Is this position actually new, though? A lot of those jobs have been advertised for months, I think. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Llyranor Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Tim Cain ^_^ (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Moose Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Chris Taylor! Oh bugger, but he's busy taking over the RTS genre again... There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts

Kaftan Barlast Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 This is very strange, I thought OE had a whole bunch of guys ready to bite the big designer cookie? DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. If there is no clear indication, asume the post is written in jest. This notification is meant very seriously and its purpouse is to avoid misunderstandings and the consequences thereof. Furthermore; I can not be held accountable for anything I write on these forums since the idea of taking serious responsability for my unserious actions, is an oxymoron in itself. Dark_Raven Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Nothing but love for the fine Obsidian Entertainment developers. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Judge Hades Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 They could all be busy with other projects, Kaftan. I m sure being a lead designer is hard work and something that they would want to rotate between their top people so that they don't get burnt out.

astr0creep Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I don't think they'll have any problems finding a LD. There are plenty of less prolific game designers who would kill their mother and sell the part to Satan for that job. They need to find the one who won't :D The requirements are high though. Must be an improtant title " http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Dark_Raven Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 It is probably KotOR 3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <_< Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Darque Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Fallout 3
kirottu Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 My vote goes for Dave Maldonado and TORN. Come back Maldonado-sama! I miss you. :'( This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
mr insomniac Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Guido Henkel/Adam Heine for Torment II I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
Gabrielle Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Fallout 3 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <_< Not amused
Plano Skywalker Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I hope it is K3 but, if it is, I would like to think MCA would have a big hand in it as he did a great job with K2. Anyway, I'm sure he would have a big role, even if not officially so.
