It won't work, The Architect, for one main reason.  Both Revan and Exile are Force Gods at the end of KotOR 1 and 2.  Playing Force Gods is stupid and boring.

 

You don't play as Revan or the Exile in my K3 game. This is just an introduction to my story so you know what Revan's been up to all this time. In my K3 story you go a new main character... I'll explain some more soon.

Chapter 1:  Revan's Quest

 

This sounds like a reasonable beginning, though it's not what I would have done. It's still just a background, isn't it? I mean, who is the central PC in this plot?

 

Also, Revan left the republic a year after the events of K1, which means that by the end of K2, he has been gone for over four years. That's a pretty big gap to fill with just an explanation of him being captured by the true Sith.

 

And then there's the question of why they leave him alive. Revan is a great threat to the true Sith, so leaving him alive, even as a prisoner, really just gives him the option of escaping later (sort of like all the villains in the Bond movies, who always tell him all their plans, then leave him to die instead of just putting a bullet in his head and get it over with...)

 

Yes, this is all just an introduction , think of it as filling in the gaps. It's a bit of backstory. You'd go a new main character in K3. I'll post more of my story later... Oh, and the reason why they kept Revan alive is to use him/her as bait, to draw out his/her allies into the unknown regions and be destroyed by a weapon that they've been building for centuries.

The answer to this question would be a spoiler in which you would find out what it is later on in the game. But there was a clue, a keyword there called "building" in my paragraph.

I like the way K1 had it so where you had to complete a minigame to advance the main plot. I'm sure some would be against it, but I thought it was a nice touch. I would like to see something like that in the next installment.

 

(I do, however, think that the turret minigame should be optional but should be available more often....I also like the idea of being able to upgrade the turret.)

 

It is worth pointing out that K2 had a minigame that K1 did not have: the "hanger turret" scene on Peragus. That was nice.

 

Pazaak...it has potential but there are not enough "novice players" in the bars. There needs to be patrons who really don't know what they are doing as well as those who will take your money. Not only is this realistic, it is also fun to win. I also wouldn't mind seeing a casino-style version in which the house deals out to several players at once.

 

Swoop Racing...I like the idea of ongoing, multi-world, big money tournaments. I thought K1 captured this better than K2. And I generally like the more straightforward approach of K1's racing.

 

Dejarik...I really wouldn't mind seeing this...I don't know if the game has ever been constructed (the way Star Trek 3D Chess has, in fact) into a playable version, but it would be really sweet to have a fully-animated, Dejarik game going on inside the Ebon Hawk. Even if they don't want to make it into a playable game, just having others sitting down playing it would be a nice touch.

I prefer swoop racing then crappy old pazaak.

Pazaak was better in Kotor 2 with the new cards. Swoop racing in Kotor 2 sucked.

I finished Jedi Academy this weekend, again.

 

How hard would it be to remake this game with a party and RPG elements and call it KOTOR3?

 

Freedom of movement, real-time combat with special lightsaber moves depending on style and stance, vehicular combat and racing, first person and third person perspectives depending on weapon used.

 

Wouldn't it be sweet?

these story lines annoy me i think their should be 2 threads one for features and one for storyline, i would hate for 1 of these stories to actualy be used it would ruin the story for me.

 

holsterable weapons, hooded robes, decent ingame movies, more worlds, influence system needs to be done better.

 

i think i speak for everyone when i say BIGGER, pak some more hours in.

 

downloadable content for xbox 360, like more items etc.

 

Improved graphics (but to be honest i would be happy with the same graphics i could forgive if the story was great)

 

i dont care what anyone says i dont think your should start of as a jedi, earning your jediness just made it all that sweeter.

 

More customisation options for your gear.

 

maybe a couple worlds from the unkown place where the ancient sith are.

 

i want to see the echani homeworld, Ithor sounds like it could look awesome, Coruscant, Alderaan.

 

find out more about czerka corperation.

 

Be cool if you could see yur character wearing belts and gloves and the shield armband thingies.

 

free flowing robes.

 

I want the combat system to be refined but not changed into real time combat, semi real time combat was gd because it added the strategy into the game please dont make this an action game.

 

Ebon Hawk returns but its been havin repairs since malachor and it got back from unknown regions now its all shiny and new with upgrades.

 

Inside Ebon Hawk would be awesome if it got fully re-made so when the pilot sat down and was pushing buttons his hands would actualy touch the controls.

 

More interactvity with the environment, i was thinking you could actualy sit down at tables in cantinas to play pazaak with your oponent oposite you.

 

every cantina needs a dueling ring and a bounty office.

I agree, starting as a full fledged Jedi is a bad idea. However, becoming a Jedi before the first quarter of the game is essential. Thats why a longer game is a must.

I disagree. If you find that beginning as a jedi is bad due to K2, then I think you might be forgetting just how much people tend to dislike the entire Peragus section. That's because it was badly designed both playwise and plotwise, totally unlike K1, where you had to interact with people on Taris rather than fight endless hordes of droids.

 

I see no reason why the game can't be just as exciting as even if you begin as a jedi. Besides, we know we'll walk the path of the jedi - Knights of the Old Republic is about jedi first and foremost, which is as it should be IMHO.

First, I would suggest that most of the game be in the unknown regions, facing the threat of the True Sith.

Second, no Dantooine. Been there, done that.

Third, PC starts off not sure if he/she is force sensitive but is discovered by a Master in the unknown regions early in the game. The Master is either Revan or Exile (who now has a name). The PC then undergoes his/her training as Padawan for either Revan or Exile. The catch is that in the unknown regions, there are no or very little lightsaber crystals so the player has a choice: He/she can go look for a lightsaber, or be a force using something else, with special perks for new classes dealing with this choice.

It would be like a branching storyline, where either choice will lead to a common point later in the story, the PC acquiring the same amount of xp either way. But it would stay within the boundaries of introduction. The training is either in hunting lightsaber parts or gaining that special class of character.

 

How's that for a start?
