Heh. Guess I'll have to find out if I'm "hardcore" enough. Even more so considering I got both Speaker and Xenocide for 10

AUTOMATIC KAFKA

Its among the coolest mainstream comics Ive read. The art is just amazing (very artsy). It does not have anything to do with Franz Kafka though.

Lord of the Rings. Again. Every year.

The actor Christopher Lee said he reads LotR every year. I remember him saying that in one of the interviews in the LotR movie disks.

Are you trying to say that ast0creep is in fact Christopher Lee....? I think we need a PI to solve this......mister Gutman where are you? :-"

Don't worry, I'm here, and he is, in fact, not Christopher Lee, but more to the point, who cares, because Lord of the Rings is lame.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.

Speaker for the Dead. I'm hoping it'll be as good as the first book.

And for the guy who reads an average of 15 books a month... WTF?

save yourself an afternoon, and throw speaker away now. honest. only the most hardcore osc fans like(d) speaker.

HA! Good Fun!

nah, It wasn't that bad Gromnir. not as good, and also different, but it had some suspense and stuff that i enjoyed. a while ago i started reading xenocide, then stopped, since it got boring quick and stayed that way.

I agree with Hurlshot though, Ender's Shadow is the real sequel :x

Seeing that we are on the subject of a great author known as J.R.R. Tolkien, I found The Silmarillion a wonderful book to read. It may seem complex at first, but after another reading or two, it is quite enlightening. My favorite part is the story of Beren and L

I didn't like Silmarillion. It read like fantasy bible, and I didn't see the point in publishing the thing. Definetly read some "real" mythology instead.

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

My favourite Middle Earth book wasn't the Silmarillion - in fact, it's so long since I read it, I had to go to Wikipedia to look up the title. It's Unfinished Tales, and looking through the list of tales, I remember really liking "Aldarion and Erendis" amongst others. :)

I liked the story of Beren and Luthien from the Silmarillion, but tried once to get through the poem and didn't make it.

Anybody read the Amber Chronicles? It's an odd...long series, but I liked it over all.

Nope,...not yet :-

There's 10 books in all, so be ready to invest a lot of time.
