Oerwinde Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 The few notes about the main quest sounds awesome. I love the fact that you have to build your reputation as a hero before people will treat you as such, and the stronghold idea sounds wicked. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Reveilled Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Hmm...if your PC starts off as a commoner, doesn't that rather exclude some Character classes? Wizards, for example, are supposed to have done years of training as an apprentice before attaining first level. And is it just me, or does a Warlock sound just like a sorcerer? In the first NWN, I heard Sorcerers regularly referred to as (demi-)human artillery platforms. Ah, I'm just feeling pedantic right now. It sounds pretty good. Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!

Child of Flame Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I hate you guys. We don't even have that version of PC Gamer over here and until someone confirms it is in the US version too I am buying nothing. Oh, and what Kaftan said.

It's going to be a lot higher quality than a grainy scan. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]

Ellester Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 What's the estimated time before release for NWN2 - 1.5 more years? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sometime in 2006. I always felt it was to be in the first half of 2006, but it's just a guess. Now Obsidian can you start releasing some stuff? screenshots are in game manuals and magazines, but nothing on the Obsidian site. Life is like a clam. Hell, BIO probably has more clout in that area. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. Atreides Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I think it'll be in the 3rd or 4th quarter in anticipation of Christmas. Marketing seems to like that. Kaftan Barlast Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 ATARi arent exactly known to be competent at PR and creating hype, but given that it begins now it may be released as early the off-christmas season(February). Volourn Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Atari knows what they are doing. They are doinga wesome with NWN1. Anyways, the Dragon description sounds cool. The main campaign sounds bleh so far. They are stating all the key words; but nothing to back if up. However, I'm sure the official campaign will be fun. 64 on a server at a time is more than enough. Let's not get greedy, people. The Warlock class sounds likean overpowered muchkin Sorceror. It's not needed. Bleh. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Also the backdrop of the story is the old rift between the dwarves and the elves that caused their demise to the goblins, and you get to go through all those areas and find out about what really happened during that time. Except this time we get to find out what happened in the battle with the King of Shadows. As to the warlock, I like it, as I like variety. I Life is like a clam. Volourn Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 "As to the warlock, I like it, as I like variety." So do I; but in reality the warlock doesn't offer variety unless you think a sorceror slight powered up is actual variety. I think they should add the 'Meleer' class and give them bonuses in melee. That's avriety, dude! A powered up fighter is sooo cool! I wouldn't mind so much if they just called Warlock a Prestige Class and be done with it. Meh.
