Child of Flame Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 How much is nineteen euros is Godly money? I got my copy for $5.
mr insomniac Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 As with the Fallouts, or the other IE games, opinions of Torment can be a little extreme. I have a fairly extreme opinion of PS:T myself, so I'll just say I hope you enjoy the game I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
roshan Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 All hail the moisit hoily Planescape Toirment.

Gorth Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Moist Holy? Innuendo seeping to posts again, eh? Hey You! Yes, you the blasphemer. Crawl on your knees and seek forgiveness in the temple of Torment... :D “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Musopticon? Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 You mean Fortress of Regress? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Gorth Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 You mean Fortress of Regress? I don't know if the typo was intentional, but it strangely enough makes sense. I wouldn't mind a bit of regress to get another Torment :'( “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Musopticon? Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I'm always intentional. Or was international...? Nevermind. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Tigranes Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Great. We are so elitist that we can't even agree on the greatness of Torment. Or Fallout, probably. Or sliced bread.... Whatever. You bought the best RPG evar. Now go play it. If you don't like it, be sure to tell us so we can crucify. mkreku Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Planescape Toirment is noithing like final fantasy. It is a trui roiileplaying experience... I've heard people say this before, but I never quite figured out how to play any other role than that of The Nameless One. I'd actually go so far as to call it an interactive story, not a true RPG. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Judge Hades Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 What's that Fallout Tactics in the background?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nothing wrong with FO:T as a game. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It isn't Fallout except in name only.
SteveThaiBinh Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I've heard people say this before, but I never quite figured out how to play any other role than that of The Nameless One. I'd actually go so far as to call it an interactive story, not a true RPG. It allows you to play different versions of The Nameless One, which to me is enough to make it a genuine role-playing experience, more than most RPGs. It's a great game, no question. Is that the dual box set with Soulbringer? Not sure if that's a good game, as I couldn't get past the garish interface. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)

It's a great game, no question. I'm sorry, but to me changing my stats from 16 int, 17 cha to 17 int, 16 cha is NOT a new role or even a new version of The Nameless One. I remember hating having everyone tell me I was so ugly, so I spent all my attribute points in charisma, hoping it would make people change their perception of me. It didn't. No matter what I did they kept calling me ugly and blah blah. The version of The Nameless One (who I would have preferred to give a name if I had a choice) I wanted to play just wasn't possible to play. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Judge Hades Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Charisma doesn't govern looks. It governs how articulate and persuasive your character is, as well as his force of personality.
Musopticon? Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 And looks. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Indeed it is not. And that's why we're all glad PST wasn't limited to that, unlike so many other games. 9/30 -- NEVER FORGET!
