Fascism starts with killling all, who has different political opinions than yours. It's a pity for earth as it is full of fascists claiming to be democratic.

11XHooah Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Definitely Metallica. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. --John Stewart Mill-- "Victory was for those willing to fight and die. Intellectuals could theorize until they sucked their thumbs right off their hands, but in the real world, power still flowed from the barrel of a gun.....you could send in your bleeding-heart do-gooders, you could hold hands and pray and sing hootenanny songs and invoke the great gods CNN and BBC, but the only way to finally open the roads to the big-eyed babies was to show up with more guns." --Black Hawk Down-- MySpace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=44500195
Child of Flame Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Turn of the Screw have a pretty kickass live show, but it's doubtful anyone except maybe Bokishi would know who the hell they are as they're still small time. Green Day is fun.
Kor Qel Droma Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 My faveorite bands would be Weezer Big Star the Replacements Teenage Fanclub Oasis (but I hate the new album and will probably NEVER buy anything of theirs again) the Pixies the Jesus and Mary Chain the Lemonheads R.E.M. would have been on my list about seven years ago but that band has gone straight downhill since Bill Berry left Third Eye Blind solo artists include Cat Stevens Matthew Sweet (see Oasis) Frank Black Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Musopticon? Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Yo, Onur; learn to make starting messages rational. I rather doubt you did anything else than check your player list. Listing all bands you've ever listened doesn't count. As for my favorites: I'd start with the amazing At the Gates and Edge of Sanity; new wave of swedish death extraordinaries. Newer melodeath is worthless when compared to these two giants. Then again; I don't compare. Finnish folk/black metal deserves a mention; it's rather original; rather inbred when it comes to members, but still fresh. Moonsorrow, Finntroll and a few others being the best. Off we go to yankees; thunderous Nile, grandfather Slayer and nearly original Sepultura(yeah, Braz, I know). Especially Nile holds a high place among my favorite death/thrash bands. Yeah, I mix them rather often. Other genres rock too. I like Manhattan Transfer, Chigaco Transit, Orphaned Land, APOCALYPTICA(!), ELP, The Nice, Glittertind(folk/punk). Gregorian covers, Within Temptation, Tchaikovski, Sibelius, Merikanto and a few other classic authors, some jungle and a few noise artists. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Reveilled Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Especially Harry and The Potters, they're like the best band evar. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HARCORE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ♫Oh, oh, oh oh oh, we'll spend our christmas playing wizard chess Oh, oh, oh oh oh, we'll play wizard chess this christmas♪ :D When I heard this song I was literally floored with laughter. Now, I know people use the word literally nowadays even though they're being metaphorical, but I swear to you on my life that I actually fell of my chair. Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
draakh_kimera Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 My favourite band depends on my mood. Sometimes it's metal (of the types thrash, death, black, prog, swedish bastard, old) or rock, but other times it can be reggae, classical, or jazz (but not that new crap). All depends. I guess the highlights include Dvorak, Slayer, Stravinsky, Duke Ellington, Dissection, Bob Marley, Freak Kitchen/Mattias Eklundh, Bix Beiderbeck, hell, too many to list...

Bytor Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Anyone else like Rush? Gotta be the best band ever I'm also rather partial to: Black Sabbath Iron Maiden Thin Lizzy Metalica (though St Anger sucked) Judas Priest "I tried the most potent Noise Amplification spell once upon a time. Mavellous spell. I could hear the birds speaking to one another in trees over the horizon, I could hear the rustlings as the clouds rubbed against each other in the sky. I could hear the sound a rainbow makes as it arches it's back over the world. Then a dog barked behind me and I burst my left eardrum."
