metadigital
Well from all the pre-game material and just the way the game has handled overall I wouldn't be suprised if having her as a member was in the works. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've also wondered about that mysterious open tenth slot in your party screen. I, for one, am glad. At least on Telos, she was quite the obnoxious, though her character model is quite spiffy.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Um, isn't the tenth spot for HK-47? Heckur
As for the romance thing... it seems pretty clear that she [edit: Atris] has feelings for the male PC, but perhaps the feeling wasn't mutual. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you're playing a LSM character with high influence on Handmaiden and less influence on Visas, and you've completed the game at least three times, then Handmaiden tells you that Atris was indeed in love with you before you went off to fight in the Mandalorian War. You have the option to confirm that, or tell Handmaiden that "if I knew it, perhaps it could have become something". IIRC it was one of the dialog options in the cargo hold of the Ebon Hawk: "Tell me about Atris".

I don't smoke, don't drink too much, so yeah, I'm pretty sure about it. To be more precise: I'm certain it was a dialog with Handmaiden in the cargohold. I just sparred with her once, I already had Visas, but didn't talk to her yet, but got some influence because I told Atton to warn me when she was healed: I wanted to questioning her. I'm not certain what dialog option it was exactly, when talking to Handmaiden.

w666tvr
If you have too much influence with Handmaiden you get influence: fail with that convo option, despite all expectation to the contrary. This is one of those instances where less is more... metadigital
Dialogue only adjusts story components, which are -- unfortuantely -- not linked to the game mechanics in any other way. (Apart from the influence system, which will favour Atton over Mical and Brianna over Visas, or vice versa, depending on conversation options.) Calax
yep. that be true. course ive never gotten all of mical's dialogue all the way through. though i do wonder why these trade offs (the choice char's) are referred to by title not by name... they semi explain brianna but not mical. Master_Vrook
About Atris being Traya, after unlocking some dialog I found her saying alot of things Traya will say later on in the game. It made me think about whether or not Kriea some how made her think she was. Now I know for sure at one point she was supposed to have the same role. Jediphile
The Atris/Kreia thing has been discussed before, and it seems that when Kreia leaves you on Dantooine after meeting the council, then one of them is to become Darth Traya, while the other should presumably have joined your party. There has been speculation that Atris would be Darth Traya if you're light side, but that's all conjecture, I think. Visit my KotOR blog at Deadly Forums. You can get the conversation every time, if you have a high influence with Handmaiden, and ask her as soon as you leave Telos (but before you go to your first planet after that). This way, you can successfully get through the "Tell me about Atris" conversation.

BattleWookie was posting everything he found here when I joined Ah, yes, Traya/Atris... There was also alot more convo for Atris on Telos, like saying that she planted your description on all public-boards of Coruscant (talk to HK-47; He'll talk about that), so that the Sith Lords might be drawn out and such...
