If you don't have any points in Body, then yes, but that also depends a little on your operating system. With a Sandevistan with very low cooldown you probably can make do with just your fists, assuming you don't get bored. No investment in Body, no Sandevistan, you'll need the arms. Well, need. Technically not, but when the enemy boxers can one-shot you, the longer the fight goes on, the, ah, higher the chance for something to go sideways.

With the legendary Gorilla Arms the cheapest Kerenzikov is enough to win pretty much every fight with absolutely no effort. Can also gun the psychos down to like 5% and knock them out in one hit, and the bonus to forcing doors open is nice enough.

Arms look a bit weird in the cutscenes, especially during the romance with Judy, but that's something else entirely.

Noticed I have a crapton of money, so I decided to buy a car.

At least they fixed the bug where V'd have her gun in her hand.   Find the performance is worse for me after the last 2 patches, not really sure why.

Hm good to know. Truth told, I didn't even know how to take down the guys for Regina in a non-lethal way until at some point I accidentally stumbled over the weapons mods. I'm not really in the mood to revert to punching people with my fist when all my skills/perks are pumped into revolvers.

You can rather easily accidentally kill people with blunt weapons, not sure if that goes for fists too. Haven't seen it with non-lethal pistols (well, except that one time I shot someone and they fell in water, and promptly drowned. Oops.)

Moreover, and this is something I think is outright idiotic: unconscious bodies you drop in containers etc count as "dead" as far as "no killing" objectives are concerned. So you can't really hide knocked out bodies on those missions if you want to get the bonus...

As for stealth not mattering, there's gigs that have, potentially, rather different outcomes if you do them non-lethally, and just shooting everyone can lock you out of peaceful resolution, and at least once, out of additional rewards, on some gigs entirely. Many gigs are also related in some way or other, so actions in one can have consequences in another.

Generally I go by what I know, the objective, and my moral compass, and a bit based on my backstory. (eg. my corpo V was a lot more indiscriminate with killing off of gang members, while my city kid mostly left Valentinos alive where possible)

Scavs are getting shot though, unless explicitly told not to, every time, all the time.

They tweaked something about the settings in the last patch, I think they increased visual fidelity on certain default settings, so that might be why.

My choice of cars in Cyberpunk 2077 is as simple as it is functional. There's only one car that is the epitome of handling, speed and off-road capabilities:

shioncoyote.jpg

The Mizutani Shion "Coyote", don't leave home without it.

No, seriously, all other cars just suck. A Rayfield Caliburn might be slightly faster, but handles like an old ass.

Dunno, looks a bit too tryhard for me. The car I bought now was the first one that I found visually pleasing, though. Everything else so far is kinda.. bleh. Dunno what I have to do to unlock more cars.

Drive around the city and the badlands until they're offered to you. Visually pleasing doesn't factor into it, none of the cars that look good handle well.

Well, actually, one could say none of the cars except the Coyote handle well, but one can make due with some, and less so with others. Very much a function over form choice. You'll come around eventually, or you'll drop the racing sidequests too. :p

From what I've read from the community one of the big reasons many players preferred motorcycles was because the handling of those were far more tolerable than that of the cars.

That, or, let's be honest, how can you play a cyberpunk game without zipping around on the Akira bike?

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

The Coyote is the only car that's close to a bike in handling quality, and it is faster than all the bikes. I'm not sure if bikes can be used for quests where you have to put people in your car (your car, not a provided one), but traversing the badlands was the primary reason for switching to the Coyote, and ease of use made sure I never really went back except for joyrides on one of the bikes.

One cannot. It's still my favorite way to get around Night City. Hop on the bike, wait for rain and drive through the city. Sometimes end up doing that just for the heck of it, not really playing the game. I still have two minor achievements to do, but I'll put that off until the expansion drops.

The only issue I have with my new car is that it feels like I'm driving on ice. There is no grip at all.

Funny enough, I also used the bike most of the time. Was happy that I got one fairly early on in the game. Not necessarily because of the handling -just for the feeling.

Excuse me, the Kusanagi is the only way to travel.

Would be cool if the buses worked like GTA taxis, you can fast travel or just enjoy the city.

I'm particular to the Quadra Type-66 personally, the Avenger for city driving

and the Javelina for the Badlands,

though I do enjoy the Shion as well.

That is, unless I need to be somewhere fast, then I just use a motorcycle since you can pretty much ignore traffic with them. Usually a Brennan Apollo with a mod so I can pick the skin, which is almost always this one:

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, another thing that is great about the Coyote is that it's shape allows you to basically plow every vehicle out of the way at top speed without suffering any major consequences in terms of speed or trajectory. Traffic is just a minor obstacle.

Then again, I also just plow through people on the street, that's just free cold blood experience. :p

Finished the game. Was surprised I got through it so fast. If I think back to Witcher 3, it felt to me like the game went on forever.

Ending was not bad. Pretty sad. Would say it's kinda well done. Not sure how much flexibility is in the last couple missions, though. Wish it were more like Deus Ex, with more open maps and ways to get around and stuff.

Feeling motivated to start a new character - as male V this time, because I want to know if I'll like the voice more.

That said, I've heard lots of negativity around the endings beforehand, so maybe my expectations were low.. however, now that I'm done with it, it doesn't seem that bad to me. Really seems like lots of pissed off people just produced lots of hot air.

I suppose that can depend on which ending you get. Nomad ending was pretty bittersweet, but I would personally have hated the bad corporate ending. As is I was pretty satisfied. I just wish the dlc would continue where the nomad ending left off ;)

The best ending is where

Spoiler

V just blows his/her brains out. The talk with Johnny prior is absolutely fantastic, and the voice mails are hilarious and tragic at the same time.

Not sure what was so bad about the Arasaka ending, other than it being even more tragic than the others. Sort of.
