Does it have to be illegal or First Amendment violation to be called censorship? I think not. And people have the right to criticize private companies for their policies, call them out about their practices and make demands on changing those.

No it's still censorship. Not illegal however.

So let's see... the day after two prominent Democrat politicians are implicated in his case Epstein end up dead. Yeah... they killed him. No doubt about it. Now how to figure out who "they" are. Don't hold your breath. Whomever "they" are will be investigated by people who either know "them", are part of "them" of have an interest in not upsetting the apple cart. "They" don't eat their own.

The people who need to be careful are all the women who were witnesses. You see they know who they were forced to have sex with. You watch, they are going to start "committing suicide" next. Like Joe Pesci said in Casino "It's always better when there are no witnesses".

Im not sure if you joking, there is no conspiracy theory here GD. Epstein committed suicide because he was utterly disgraced, mentally unstable  and faced 45 years in jail..I would have done the same. This was his second attempt to kill himself, I promise you the Democrats didnt do it

Only Democrats ? Hm.  Seems like this guy is like Gerald Bull in terms of who could have wanted him dead.  Then again, may be as simple as incompetence from jailers letting this happen.  Life is boring that way sometimes.

Alright you two don't go slicing up my labyrinthine conspiracy theories with your damned Occam's Razors. Disgraced millionaire pedophile commits suicide vs disgraced pedophile millionaire is murdered to protect high ranking political figures who shared his predilection. Remember the life of Pi? If the truth is unknowable and it doesn't matter either way go with the better story. 😆

Besides. You have to admit, in this case the conspiracy theory is at least plausible

And such forward-thinking and humane peasants they were. The guillotine sure beats being boiled alive or drawn and quartered.

Fun fact: some joker was handed a 18-month jail sentence for making a similar remark regarding our current king on some social network or other. Even funnier is that, far from objecting to the principle, progressives frequently applaud other people facing similar penalties when it is deemed to be "hate speech". Plausible? Really? I suppose there would be people who want him dead, but it's more likely to be someone who's name hasn't been revealed yet. The timing IS uncanny though. Either way, him suiciding isn't going to stop the case as it's now going to move to the estate, so, if they really wanted to stop the whole thing, it failed.

Theres plenty of calls from both sides for an investigation into what failed here.

Well, unless they get to be too much trouble like Mr Epstein was, I guess.

Who knows, maybe he genuinely did kill himself but it could hardly look more suspicious if it were done deliberately. Nothing to do with any party affiliation though, he got a patsy deal from one of Trump's appointees and while there does genuinely seem to have been a break between Trump and Epstein a fair while ago Trump certainly ain't the only R associated with him.

(The conspiracy theories are a bit Americocentric anyway; obviously Phil the Greek's crack assassination squad is cleaning house for Prince Andrew like he did earlier for Charles with Diana. Tywin Lannister has nothing on Prince Philip)

I apologize, I keep forgetting you new to these forums but  you remind me of another member who use to live in Poland who knew me

Many things in life are irrefutable and would be considered statements of fact, for example

  • The earth rotates on its axis and revolves around the sun
  • All matter is made of subatomic particles
  • The sun will rise tomorrow
  • Trump won the 2016 election in the USA

Occasionally I will use the words " I promise" or " its irrefutable ", you dont need to question this just consider this fact. So in other words any BruceVC " I promise "  is golden and you can guarantee its authenticity. Unfortunately I cannot post the links to confirm this as sometimes my sources are confidential

Always remember that the majority of conspiracy theories cannot be proven ever and are based on a combination of truth and utter conjecture .....I always encourage people not to believe them or to use them for any basis of understanding of any event when the facts can be easily understood

All kidding aside, a guy like him committing suicide would not normally raise any ire in this country. Most folks would be happy he saved us the expense of a trial and forty years of upkeep in a UFP. But in his case each of the two main rat tribes are upset because each was hoping he would burn some of the rats from the other tribe. In truth there likely was a good chance some rats from each tribe were going to get burned. But now... probably not. No trial means no testimony so...

The suicide story is likely true. But the conspiracy theories does have the rats in the sewer all roiled up. At least for show anyway. Something to talk about while we await the financial apocalypse that is steadily approaching.

Good to know Biden is still a gaffe machine

If he gets nominated this election will be very entertaining. There is a certain fatalistic comfort in knowing there are no momentous consequences to US elections anymore. No matter who wins we all still screwed.

You gotta love Joe Biden:

Quote

When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.

In case the problems with this quote don't jump out at you, In 1929 Herbert Hoover was President. FDR would not enter office until 1933. Televisions were around then but were not really available to the public and not even receiving regular broadcasts until 1939. And only a few thousand were even in homes until CRT manufacturing advances brought down costs in the late '40's. In 1947 home TV sales became a thing but it want until 1951 that TVs in homes surpassed 1M and were considered common. FDR was six years dead and the depression had been over for 11 years.  But hey, it's about being morally right rather than factually correct.

Edit: At least this one is funny. Trump thinking the shooting in Ohio was in Toledo... not funny

The worst thing with the Trump misfire is that all he had to do was read off the teleprompter and not screw up. I fail to see how he'd mix up Toledo with Dayton and if it was really on the teleprompter, he needs to fire the writer.

On Biden, there's also the one where he messed up saying 'poor kids are just as smart as white' kids while immediately self correcting (Trump would just double down saying 'I MEANT WHAT I SAID!') as 'wealthy'. The gaffes are starting to become more cringeworthy in the context of the Presidential contest... and I keep trying to convince myself that it can't be any worse than Trump. At least Biden is willing to admit his mistakes where Trump isn't.

GD, Biden also called out the wrong places. I think he said Houston and Michigan. He's really been on a roll.

Wasn't the El Paso shooter from the Houston or Dallas area or something? Plausible he might have been thinking of that. Interesting that it hasn't gotten more attention*, maybe we've just gotten too used to Uncle Joe being derpy that we don't notice it being worse or more of a problem than nornal.

While it's true that he's been gaffe prone for a long time, how do you tell whether it's just his normal off-the-cuff-ness vs some other mental thing? You really can't, unless you're a professional who has directly examined Biden.

*Other than maybe not giving ammo to a**hole Trump.

He also blew his campaign plug at the end of the last debate and has had a few other slip ups (poor kids, white kids and Parkland) over the past week or so. I've seen some coverage of his blunders but it's usually spun as at least he's not as bad as Trump which isn't a great argument in his favor as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, it's admittedly not a great argument in his favor as it's really just a different flavor of off-the-cuff-ness without the compulsive lying and obsfucation (well, to an exponentially greater degree than most politicians).

Or military. Why not go with the tried and true tactic of what they know?

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken
