rjshae Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Once much of the map is explored, it gets a bit dull sailing back and forth. The pace would be much improved with a fast-travel mode for your ship. 3 "It has just been discovered that research causes cancer in rats."
msyoung Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Have you equipped your ship with all the goodies that speed it up?
the_dog_days Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I agree. They have a 'fast travel' mode in the city for locations you've already visited. It would be nice to extend that to islands.
bonarbill Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 No. The whole point of the world map is exploration. Just use fast mode. 1
Woopee Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 No. The whole point of the world map is exploration. Just use fast mode. The sheer amount of time one spends sailing around a mostly-empty sea is kind of absurd. Not sure why you want to do that.

I suppose one good reason for not adding that is that you may be attacked by other ships at sea. If you actually guide your ship, you can choose whether to avoid this (and how) or not.
Crucis Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Have you equipped your ship with all the goodies that speed it up? ^This. Fully upgrading one's ship can increase its overall speed by almost 100%. (It's also a good money sink.)
Cartoons Plural Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 loading screens for fast travel mode often take longer you ever notice that...

I was mostly thinking about late in the game where getting attacked at sea isn't really a thing anymore but I suppose you're right about before that point.
