Restarted my FM2018 game, couldn't stand FC Magdeburg being broke. The tactics screen is a bit nicer than FM2015 as it points out issues with spaces more clearly. Still find this UI bothersome though.

I've reached 100 hours in Jurassic World Evolution and 100% completion. This game is not good, yet I cannot stop playing it. Damn my fanboy compulsions.

On a scale from Farmville to Rollercoaster Tycoon, how tycoonish is it? I've been thinking about getting it.

Just killed Demon Firesage in Dark Souls. He kicked my ass, because I was stubborn and wanted to dodge all the time. After I've started to use shield, he died in less than a minute O.o

Bought Portal 2 for like 1,50€. Was cruising along fine, but finally ran into a puzzle that left me totally stumped.

Turns out you can put the ****ing gel in the ****ing tractor beam. The actual solution was trivial after that. I mean, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I wish the difficulty was more in the puzzles themselves than in the unexplained interplay between the thingamajigs. Had more or less the same in a coop game where we wasted like 10 minutes running around like headless chicken until we realized the gel can paint light bridges.

Yeah, yeah. Feel free to point and laugh.

And Gravelord Nito defeated as well. Tbh as soon as you kill his adds, which are immortal unless you

use divine weapon

, what I completely forgot yesterday, he is piss easy. Needed only 3 tries to learn his moves and kick his ass.

Only three more areas to go and two bosses, and I can go for final boss (no DLC run atm).

Ring of Fog makes him a joke, too, since his minions won't aggro. When you beat the final boss, you immediately go to NG+ - so I would suggest doing the DLC before that.

Well, the European Prepare To Die Edition, which I have is not compatible with the save of Normal UK edition, which I have started years ago, and did not wanted to throw away my first ever character.

So I have decided to finish game first with him, and go for second playthrough with new character in Prepare To Die Edition and go for all the content with my second character. With maps and stuff to get every single item available in-game. And later I’ll try to go for Platinum.

I still have not found Ring of Fog though :-/

So we would need to play it at approximate same pace and Soul Level :p

Oh god no, Zoo Tycoon falls closer to the Farmville side IMO.

Like Zoo Tycoon there's not much more to do than 'make lots of animals', the park building and management aspects are very limited and while this game looks gorgeous the animals themselves don't have a lot of interesting behavior (for example, like in Zoo Tycoon carnivores are psychopaths and will murder entire herds just because they can). The 'unlock new dinosaurs' methods are almost mobile game-ish in their use of timers.

If you're not a Jurassic Park superfan, best wait and see if Frontier adds more gameplay related content.

I still like the idea of a tycoon style builder where you have to build the Jurassic Park. Only to then have it turn into a first person shooter / survival game when the dinosaurs go on a rampage, and you have to deal with how good you were at building and expanding the park in the first half....

I noticed that I had Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth in my Steam library and decided to give it a go. No disappointed! No compatibility issues with windows 10, game runs fine, videos work and there is even widescreen support without the need of any mods or fixes. Basically, it works straight out of the box, something which is quite rare with older games on Steam.

I am liking it btw, graphics are old but the attention to detail is still amazing and the atmosphere is spot on.

Yeah, the co-op in Dark Souls(or Bloodborne) ain't exactly intuitive.

I had so far only one co-op encounter in Dark Souls, when I was to frustrated of my unability to down Smough/Ornstein duo. I somehow prefer soloing my games, because I have my own pace due to work. Sometimes I can play 5-6 hours in a day, sometimes I can't play for a week. But I would not mind to try out the co-op sometimes.

...Yeah, IIRC, it's basically impossible to find on your own. I surely did not on my first playthrough - but it proved very useful on NG+, especially on my NG7 SL1 run. Edited by Bartimaeus

I had to get help from strangers during a few boss fights in Bloodborne because my heart couldn't handle the pressure.

Back when Demon's Souls got released in the U.S(it took a year or so until it was eventually released in Europe) I managed to find a US copy of the game in a second hand gameshop in Vienna. I have no idea how it had ended up there or why I decided to buy it at all. I went in fresh and at first I thought to myself 'is this a joke?!'. I was very impressed by the graphics and the art style though so I decided to play some more.

Eventually I managed to beat the first and the second boss. Once I reached world 2, I decided to summon someone and to my surprise, some dude showed up who happened to be armed to the teeth and all leveled up. I just followed the guy as he mowed down everything in his path all the way to the end boss. At one point I lost him in the caverns and had to wait for him until he showed up...scariest 10 minutes of my life!

Eventually I fell in love with the game because the difficulty would always remind me of the good ol' days of the SNES. I had only a few bosses to beat until my PS3 hdd decided to mess with me so I had to do a system restore which deleted my bad ass character for good. And nope, there was no ps plus cloud save system back then. :(

PS Plus offered Demon's Souls free to subscribers a few years back so I can hop back in and start a new character. This time I hope I can beat the game but there won't be no coop since the servers went offline a while back.

Speaking of which, I had my older brother by me a gift card(I can only use prepaid cards bought in Austria since my account was made there while I was a student in Vienna and you can't change the region of your psn account :( ...thank you Sony! ) so now I have PS Plus till 1Q 2020. Hooray! *dances*

All I have to do now is buy a new PS3 because I want to have a spare one in case my current PS3 goes kaput. For some reason, the ps3 is more near and dear to my heart compared to other consoles, can't live without one...unless Sony is working on a PS3 mini. :p

I don't have a PS3 anymore, unfortunately, and I didn't know about Demon's Souls when I had one. However, I can emulate it on PC, but haven't really dedicated myself to playing through it yet, so I've held off for the time being (that, and its performance isn't perfect...but it was pretty darned good some months ago). Looking forward to playing it sometime soon.

All of my free time I am playing in WoW and ESO :) Sometimes I buy wow gold and buy wow items because I want to prepare for a new expansion called Battle for Azeroth. It will be fun exploring new land and make new dungeons. World of Warcraft is the greatest MMORPG. It was made by Blizzard Entertainment. If somebody does not ever play in WoW there is for sure great reason for a starting enjoying wow (again).

Wow, it is possible to emulate PS3 games on the PC? Didn't knew about that. It would be nice to boost the graphics in Demon's Souls using a strong pc. It was Demon's Souls that needed a remaster, not Dark Souls. :(
