Other than the French, who wanted this outcome?

    France played better and I doubt Cavani could have really changed the result. The french defense didn't let Suarez do much and the Uruguaian goalkeeper made a fatal mistake with the second goal, that goal killed the match for Uruguay.

    There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

    Had a feeling this would happen.  Is funny watching Reddit threads on these games, the Euro v Euro or SA v SA matches aren't too bad, but SA vs Euro ones are such a ****show.

    I was only able to watch about 25 minutes of the first half and I'm hating the fact that I'll be misding the rest of it, because it really is shaping up to be one of the best games so far this WC. Anyhow, allez la Belgique and all that! :D

    Not with France playing the way they are. Right now they're looking like the team to beat. Even more impressive considering how young their new roster is - this bodes well for them in future world cups too.

    Courtois in net was the man of the match.  He made some terrific saves.

     

    Belgium has been my pick since the start of the knockout rounds.  They can do this.
