  1. Will our characters from PoE be able to be imported then, if we are still the watcher ? Maybe with a remake at the least to keep the level etc... does anyone know if this has been asked before or addressed and if so, do you have links to what was officially stated ? Please and thank you and bless your good faces all you backers of this marvelous project !
  2. I have just remembered that there are still the two DLCs. Right now I am on the way to Caed Nua. If I buy the two DLCs, can I still access the DLCs with my current savegame? What would be the point (story progress) of no return?
  3. Discuss/post some of the new ending slides. Let us know what you got and why you think you got it. These were mine: http://imgur.com/a/EC79P#1 Devil's stuff: Obviously I let her murder the logger guy, no other opportunities to change this really stood out to me. Zahua: Seems to me that influencing him will be left for part 2. Even though he told my character about his clans troubles, he kept saying my stuff was more important and wouldn't give a quest to help him out. So I guess this is the default "personal quest: Incomplete" ending. I should also mention that the narrator says more than what appears in the ending text for some reason. Not really anything different, just more. "Under Taena's guidance the mines..." : I didn't awaken Taena, I awakened the Orlan. Now, I have started another playthrough and gotten to the point of awakening Taena and that lead to her attacking me (after giving the required info) and I don't know if it can go any other way. But that would still change this slide I imagine. Not really sure about the "half a dozen others had been excavated in the nearby peaks" bit. May be related to helping the girl with her gem-finding device and telling her it works (rather than lying and saying it's junk)? I figure this because I imagine she sells the tool to a bunch of people and tells them to use it in the White March. Seems a bit of a stretch though, perhaps they just come because DB is now safe. Stuff about the new generation being eager for exploration: Could this be related to me making a deal with the Ogre Matron? Maybe because it's kind of siding with the son's new way of thinking over the mother? Or this is possibly given to everyone who bothers with TWM content. Smuggler's opportunities: Probably got this because I returned the woman's stash to her and told her to cut me in, rather than reform her, kill her or turn her in to the mayor. Owynna's midnight errands: Clearly from awakening Owynna. Watcher's visit seen as an ill omen: I don't really get this one, who are they praying for ("prayer for the dead left in the Watcher's wake")? The dead that result from smuggler's prospering? The loggers I killed with the Devil? Possibly a reference to the threat that we'll deal with in Part 2, but can't now (the "eyeless" (I think this is what they called them, may be wrong) that killed the dwarves of Durgan's Battery), coming and killing some of them. Could also be referring to the people I let burn in the house at the start. Or perhaps the thieves-pretending-to-be-priests that I killed? I am most interested in knowing if anyone didn't get this one/got something different, and why. Finally, I chose to send the lingering Battery souls back to the Wheel, but I can't see this effecting any of the ending slides I got.
  4. Hi so for the quest I have to obtain all four notes to open cragholdt's door. The only note I'm missing is Pelden's - I saw it when I was looting his body but somehow it disappeared from my inventory and stash. Basically I'm stuck without this note. I've looted his body completely, I can't click on his corpse anymore. Help?

Vithrack Brutes and Luminaries In the second part of the expansion we are introducing a larger slice of vithrack culture. Players will encounter brutes and luminaries, two distinct classes of vithrack. While brutes build and feed the colony, luminaries are its scholars and historians. 7. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hello, everyone. Happy Small Harvest! The Pillars team has been hard at work squashing bugs and finishing up The White March - Part II, but that doesn't mean we don't have time for a little fun on the side. In this update we will talk about the Small Harvest holiday, our brand new short stories, and show off some cool new art from The White March - Part II. We'll also go over the latest update that was released, 2.03, and all of the new stuff that is included. In future updates, we will release more exclusive info on The White March - Part II. The team also has a special Halloween treat for Pillars of Eternity fans... Pumpkinhead Mode? The Small Harvest In past generations, the Eothasian autumn festival of the Small Harvest was celebrated by most immigrants to the Eastern Reach. Farmers and the villages that relied on them came together to share food and drink from the season's earliest crops and give thanks to the gods for their good fortune.Children would bring food to distant farms or to elders who were unable to travel on their own and priests of Eothas would line the roads with small candles. In exchange for the food that children brought, the farmers' families would craft small dolls from corn husks or carve a variety of exaggerated faces into small gourds, leaving them outside as gifts. Poor or elderly families would simply spend time with the children and thank them for their charity. In the years following the Saint's War, the Small Harvest has taken a different tone in the Dyrwood and Readceras. Since the destruction of St. Waidwen, whom many believe was a manifestation of Eothas, most Dyrwoodans have no interest in celebrating the holiday. Those who continue to leave out dolls or carved gourds are generally viewed with suspicion and resentment, often finding their dolls burned and gourds smashed by angry neighbors. If you want to read more about the Small Harvest and how it is celebrated in Eora, check out our Small Harvest lore page. Pumpkinhead Mode For those of you playing Pillars of Eternity on October 30th and 31st you'll get a special surprise if you turn on Big Head mode in your options. Go ahead. Try it. We'll wait. The Ratcatcher and New Short Stories One of Pillars of Eternity's very own Narrative Designers, Carrie Patel, has a brand new short story featuring Sagani and Itumaak. Without spoiling too much, Sagani runs across a foul murder in a small village and is determined to find out what really happened. This is the first short story in a new series of stories that we will be releasing over the coming weeks that will feature familiar characters and some new faces. Here are the release dates for the other stories: Blood Register by Paul Kirsch - November 3rd The Reaping by Eric Fenstermaker - November 10th Until He Started Screaming by Carrie Patel - Released Date TBD To find The Ratcatcher and future stories, head over to our Short Stories page. The White March - Part II We still aren't ready to give many details about the second part of The White March, but the team wanted to share some of the cool work that they have been doing with the backers... ... like some new Vithrack concepts (a.k.a. nightmare fuel). Or some of our new helms that match Pillars of Eternity unique armors. Or a new cave to explore. (First pass render with no paintover yet) Stay tuned to future updates so you can see the latest art and design details from The White March - Part II. Update 2.03 The team has been hard at work continuing to fix bugs and add polish to Pillars of Eternity and The White March. That's it for now and have a great Halloween from the Eternity team!
  8. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everyone. I have some exciting news for you today. The White March, the expansion for Pillars of Eternity, has released its first part and you can find it on Steam, GOG, and Origin. In this update we will explain how to redeem your rewards from the Backer Portal and show you some of the cool companions, areas, and features from the expansion. Let's not waste any time. The White March - Part I Obsidian has released the first half of the Pillars of Eternity expansion, The White March! It is now available on Steam, GOG, and Origin. For those of you that may not know a lot about our expansion, let me talk about some of the details and highlights: The White March - Part I takes place in the harsh, frozen frontiers north of the Dyrwood. Word of Durgan's Battery and its buried treasures (including Durgan's Steel) has made its way back to the Watcher of Caed Nua. We have two new companions in the expansion: Zahua, a scarred, drug-addicted monk who thinks pain is the true path to enlightenment. The Devil of Caroc, a construct with the soul of a murderer infused inside. The expansion adds in a special class of items called soulbound weapons. These weapons have powerful (and unique) enchantments that become more powerful as their wielder levels up. You can now set your companions to use AI so you don't have to spend as much time managing their actions. Each class has special AI packages that are unique to those classes and we will be added in additional AI packages in the future. The AI for enemies has also been improved. Party members can now go into individual stealth. This allows some part members to be stealthed while other members are not. This is particularly useful in positioning party members for upcoming battles or sneaking by small groups of enemies. You may now retrain your party members to modify their attributes, skills, and abilities. Now you can try out new builds quickly and easily. Redeeming the Expansion Note: The expansion is not part of the Hero, Champion, or Royal bundles. The expansion was part of Kickstarter tiers at $165 and above. If you are a backer, but did not get the expansion bundled in your tier you will have to purchase it from Steam or GOG seperately. We have now released Steam and GOG keys to all qualifying backers on the Backer Portal. If the expansion was a part of your Kickstarter tier or if you purchased it as a separate add-on, you can redeem your game and get your key just like any other reward on our Backer Portal. You can find the specific redemption instructions here under the "Steps to Redeem Your Items" section. DRKN Clothing Over the past few months Obsidian has been working with DRKN, a premiere clothing manufacturer, to come up with some cool pieces of clothing that takes inspiration from Pillars of Eternity. We are happy to announce that they have finished their first few pieces and you'll get the first crack at them. In addition to high-quality clothing, you also get a digital copy of the Campaign Almanac with your purchase. What are you waiting for? You can get your Pillars-inspired clothing here. PAX Panel If any of you are headed to PAX Prime this weekend, you should stop by the Hydra Theater at 3:00 PM on Saturday to catch our Pillars of Eternity retrospective panel. It's going to be filled with stories about our successes, our failures, and how it is shaping our future development. Also, we will give a sneak peek into our thoughts for future Pillars of Eternity products. If you are unable to make it to PAX, not to worry. We will be streamed live on the official PAX Twitch channel for those that can't be there. That's it for now. Have fun exploring the harsh wilderness of The White March!
  9. Hello, everyone. For those of you that have the expansion pack as part of your reward tier (or an add-on) the keys for The White March are now available on the backer portal. For a refresher on how to redeem your rewards you can go here and check under the section titled "Steps to Redeem Your Items." You will not be able to download the expansion until it is released to the public. This should happen today around 7:00 AM PDT. If you redeem your keys early (especially on GOG) you may not be able to see your expansion pack in your account. To be safe, it is best to hold off on redeeming the key until the product has been released.
  10. Hello, I've run into a problem in Galvino's workshop where every time I enter the enemies start at varying stages of damage (barely injured, etc). I found myself having an obscene amount of trouble getting passed the first mob. At first, I thought I was applying the wrong strategy or just hitting the mob with types they are resistant to, but after many attempts (more than I care to admit), I finally turned off expert mode so I could read the combat info. The injured enemies have crazy stats -separate from the healthy ones, and and not just defenses, as I noticed I was getting hit with crits nigh-constantly. Moreover, attempting to leave and come back results in different levels of starting damage on the enemies. I am guessing this is a bug? I mean I know I'm playing on hard but exponential stat buffs for damage? Unfortunately, my saved game was too large to upload, but I do have my output log and I took a screenshot of those lovely defense numbers. i hope it helps. Thank you for any time and help you can provide, --Don output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  11. Hello, everyone. The 2.00 Update is now live on Steam for everyone. GOG and Origin will have patches up in the next couple of hours. To see some of the changes and fixes you can go here. Have fun and get ready for the release of The White March - Part I.
  12. Today, take a journey with The White March's Lead Area Designer, Bobby Null, through some of the expansion's coolest areas. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!
