Ergh, sorry Wizardry 8 was slower and more ponderous than anything to do with FO3 VATS and the only "options" it had were given to your opponents who could freely move around the battle area while you were stuck with your little party always having to stick right next to one another. Which led to great possibilities like Sieges constantly hitting you with area affect spells while you fought melee mobs closeup, unable to cross the distance between yourself and the Siege so you could attack it because then you'd be surrounded by opponent melee characters on your weak back side stabulating your low HP spellcasters. So your choice was to lose your spellcasters because they got beat up or because they were killed in an infinite barrage of area spells. I like some things in Wiz 8 but combat wasn't one of those things.

Technically 28 Days later... were Rage infected living humans, not zombies. Technically a baseball bat to the head busting the skull and brain could work - but zombies big thing is numbers. The question really isn't what you can kill them with but the best way to kill them without risking infection/overbearing. Although there are merits there, regardless. I mean if push comes to shove *I* certainly wouldn't say no to an attractive Czech model with two small sub-compact submachine-pistols from joining my zombie survival group come the day The Dead Walk The Earth...

I seem to remember an early raider fight that was pretty large in FO1. But I may be thinking of something from 2 as they do tend to blend in my mind a bit.

The Fallout 1 and 2 animations were slow, even if they weren't slow-mo. The character would take a hit, fall to the ground and bleed out all before you could make another move. It took longer to get to the next move on a critical/bloody mess. Given that it was already sluggish as heck in taking turns (not to mention the fun hunt and seek where combat was being triggered by something off screen so you had to live through an interminable amount of turns just to find and kill the battle trigger), it made combat kinda not fun at times (particularly big battles with lots of raiders/enclave/super-mutants/rad scorpion/rats in the opening of the game).

Why is Obsidian making this?

IMO D&D Heroes was okay, I actually only thought Dark Alliance 1 was okay and didn't like 2, Fallout BoS wasn't fun IMO but I loved the Hunter games. Also really enjoyed the Champions games on PS2. For my brother - who does play Action RPGs from time to time with me as I've mentioned in other threads the Champions games and the Hunter games were the only ones he got interested enough in to play to completion. -
"Soon" is relative though.

That's my biggest fear. Something about the stupid AI wasting ammo and never taking cover/retreating when it makes sense to. Well I played it with a "don't give the computer stuff I might want to have later" approach and it worked fine. Typically the AI will have the controlled character retreat if the player retreats, so some awareness of the other characters situation helps.
-
Nimoy only did the episodes he was contracted for; I think he's in two episodes in season two and, having retired from acting, probably won't be in the show ever again.
-
I enjoyed it playing alone, personally. You have to be wary of the computer AI for the other player, but overall that was never really a problem. In fact I never played it with anyone else, so my experience was all single player.

I had never experienced motion sickness in a game until Far Cry 2. Something about how the camera moved just didn't sit well with me though. To date its still the only game to make me motion sick.

Be interesting to how that pans out. -
This is what I thought it was, what with the camera sometimes closing in on the PC's face and following a bullet to its targer. Sadly most of the reality of VATS was that you were looking at a closeup of a supermutant's chin as your character unloaded a gun into his head while blocky blood spewed over the screen.
-
I quit Far Cry 2 in 5 minutes because the camera movements were giving me motion sickness... I think that and FFAdvance are the only ones I sold without playing a bit; I think 30 minutes is usually the "turn off, having no fun" point. You missed out on some awesome healing animations and the cool buddy system. FC2 was a flawed game, but it had some pretty cool ideas. Yeah that may be, but its "awesome healing animations" and "cool buddy system" vs "vomiting due to motion sickness".

I'm pretty sure the easiest way to differentiate is Gridiron Football (US Football) vs Association Football ("Soccer", "Football") that's already in use (and allows the further ability to distinguish between Australian Football ("Footy"), Rugby League Football and Rugby Union Football

Close, Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System I got as tired of limbs exploding off in FALLOUT 3 as I did people slowly being ripped apart by bullets on a critical death in Fallout 1 & 2 (or even the slow as molasses collapse and bleed out animation).

I don't really have an opinion on women's armor in the sense of a typical rounded cuirass vs a sculpted look (ala the Greek "muscle cuirass) vs impractical cleavage cuts. I do wish you had a variety of options for your character, but I confess to being peculiar over the armor my characters wear as the same look isn't always "right" for different characters. But in the end I always roll with what the game gives me. -
I'd say disallowing goals for offsides is probably one of the most likely reasons for goals to be disallowed.

A JD may meet the qualification of holding the terminal degree in the field. But I don't know many colleges that are falling over themselves to hire JDs who don't also have some teaching experience and/or publication history. The schools here only require a masters (at least) and 18 hours of coursework taken in the area to be taught. Research institutions favor doctoral level degrees (for which JD and MD both qualify), though (but masters are fine for the gen ed courses even there). Most new hires at research institutions have a time frame in which to be published (some I know have been given 7 years, at which point the school is looking at whether to grant tenure to the faculty member...or fire them if they haven't published). While they're not making big money, I've known a few JDs who got burned out on the law profession who started a second career teaching business law courses to business majors at local colleges & universities.
-
And if all else fails, someone with a JD degree can also teach at many (if not all) colleges!

That's because you're not a real man. REAL MEN AREN'T ASHAMED OF WEARING FUNNY HATS IF THEY HAVE POWERFUL STATS! AS I DID IN DRAGON AGE! ROAAAAAAAAAAAR! I didn't need a vanity view to be impressed by the Dragon Age Funny Hats.
-
Vanity view = I hated having to run up to walls and spin the camera around to try and get a close up look at my character & what they were wearing in other games...
-
Yeah I've read that here - I just find it interesting how the gamesite previews have such disparate takes on the game (some that don't seem to match what the devs have said).
