The Bible says that Seth and Cain had children - they had to have children from somewhere, even though I don't think the biblical geneologies list their wives (I should add that IIRC the bible indicates that Adam and Eve had other un-named sons and daughters, so its theoretically supposed to be assumed that Seth and Cain's wives were also their sisters - I'm not a biblical scholar; IIRC the apocryphal tales of Lilith indicate there were 'demons' outside of Eden, so its possible that Seth and Cain's wives were from that group as well). Theoretically the millions of years of evolution could have happened in one day as God created (and would therefore control) time, so theoretically you can reconcile creationism and evolution if you really want to.

Cain and Seth had to get it on with somebody? Also, same for Lilith if we count apocrypha... The intervention of a divine being for creationism to work means that nothing is theoretically impossible. Seth had children, as did Cain, they didn't have children with Eve, so there had to be other women able to bear children with them created by God; time is irrelevant since its created by God, etc.

You can home charge. AFAIK, they recommend a Wall Connector be installed for best results, but they have a NEMA connector as well.

unpopular gaming opinions - here's mine, share yours

For all intents and purposes sci fi games and fantasy games seem to be the same thing if you remove the cosmetics. -
Its probably also fair to point out that the best performing superhero films have been the ones which feel authentic to the characters - even when there are changes. WB's DC film slate has taken a lot of brickbats for its lack of fidelity in particular with the Zack Snyder verse. That's important as Birds of Prey had never had any real connection with Harley (in the comics) until the film was announced, that the Birds of Prey as a team was missing a key founder in Batgirl/Oracle, and that Cassandra Cain in the film is so different from the comics character that it was really just a new character using an old name. That it followed-up the divisive (but highly profitable and Oscar winning) Suicide Squad probably didn't help, particularly since I think - for those who didn't like Suicide Squad - the marketing for BoPatFEoOHQ was highly reminiscent of the Suicide Squad marketing (well more like if the Suicide Squad marketing had a baby with the Deadpool marketing).

I don't doubt people will continue to do so. Doesn't make it right (or wrong). Again haven't seen CA, I can't really speak to the quality of the film. I would have seen it, but... I used to be a fairly regular movie goer. Lack of show-times I want to see and lack of willingness of theater owners to police the audience and throw out people who think they're in their living rooms has contributed to me seeing less and less films. CA had no show times that I was willing to risk an unpleasant experience of some goofball(s) talking at the screen, talking to each other, talking on their phone, talking to their kids, letting their kids run around the theater like it was field day at school, etc. In a way these issues are tied together. Nominally I think it is true that there are more women than men in the US, but I think its in the upper age brackets. I think the younger age brackets are more even or slightly more male.

Pretty sure Captain Marvel was considered a success. Ghostbusters had a lot of pre-press hate on it simply because it wasn't the real Ghostbusters. That it's budget had over-run spectacularly set it up for failure regardless of the quality/lack-of-same of the film. Can't say much about Charlie's Angels one way or the other as I haven't seen it and I'm not sure people were terribly high on it from a tracking standpoint. I think some of the navel gazing over BoPatFEoOHQ is a bit silly, and its also somewhat disappointing the film hasn't done better as its not a bad film, although also not a perfect film either. Most likely the blame can be laid squarely on making it an R-rated film when it doesn't really need to be and lack of clarity in the marketing/advertising (which wasn't helped by the name). Its possible bad weather in areas contributed some as well.

If I'd thought of Manimal I'd have probably said that!

Please remember that not everyone has the capability or desire to play on a Personal Computer. Responding to a thread where the original poster has specifically indicated that PC is not an option for them by telling the OP to play it on a PC is at best inconsiderate and at worst trolling. I've cleaned this thread up so that it can be refocused on discussion of the console version of the game. We ask that the users of this board treat one another with respect, even when opinions differ. If there is an issue with a post or a derailing of a thread, like trolling can do, please report the post(s).

I got asked what animal I'd be in an interview. Blanked on the entirety of fauna both known and speculative when the question was asked. Eventually stumbled upon 'albatross'. Was asked if I picked that because it soared for hours at sea. Answered no, I literally couldn't think of any animals until Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner popped into my head. Probably not the best answer, but it was the truth. Didn't get what I was interviewing for, obviously.

Has nothing to do with darker stories. I think Star Trek can support that. I think the problem lies in modern creators being cynical about the underlying principals of Starfleet.

I get where you're coming from with DS9. But I also think while it was good, it opened the door enough away from the core of the original show that people felt emboldened to continue in that direction. So instead of being the show that was a cool exception to the rules, it became the rules.
-
Personally I think all Trek has suffered, post-Roddenberry, from the creators not really believing in the concepts the original show built. Particularly Vulcans in general but also Starfleet's utopian ideal. Haven't seen Picard or Discovery yet though.

The House isn't where the trial happens. My understanding - congressional committees (like the House Judicial Committee) takes evidence or accusations of malfeasance and investigates. The results of the investigation is passed on to the full house who votes on the Articles of Impeachment, or the formal accusation. The Senate is supposed to take the formal accusation and try the accuded. So my layman's understanding is the congressional committee is like the police and prosecutors who bring their evidence to the House, which is like a grand jury, and if the grand jury recommends proceeding, the the senate acts as the trial venue for the accused on the charges brought forth (in the Impeachment). I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.
