  1. I have frapsed it. And yeap, it does stack. No ticks are lost. Also few, known or not quite things: - dot does damage every 3s (90-91 frames) - when phrases are stacked, ticks occur more often (duh) - ticks deal constant damage, with the exception of closing tick (which usually hits for less, and depends on how much dmg there is left to deal) - first tick always does it's damage instantly, at the moment of dot appliance - intellect does NOT affect per-tick damage - hit quality (crit/hit/graze) does NOT affect per-tick damage - hit quality (crit/hit/graze) influences only the linger phase (x1.5/x1/x0.5) - at 10 might, every tick deals 10..10.4 slash and burn damage; which is then reduced by 1/4 of enemy's respective DR. Okay so thats why DR seemed to have little effect. Am I right in concluding that 20 Slash DR only reduced the tick damage by 0.5 over 10 DR? Now I wonder is there anything except Int, Might and Accuracy that can increase the damage (either through bigger ticks or longer duration)?
  2. The Dragon Thrashed and Wailed seems so strong now because it is: some quick testing against Adra Beetles (20 ish DR) seems to show that the chant ignores DR. Considering no modes, passive damage boost talents, -DR abilities or weapons can boost the damage it seems a fair exchange. Basically the only way to boost the damage is increasing Int, Acc and Might. Even accuracy is fairly weak since it only affects the linger duration.
  3. Eh most of the wounds are actually quite tame. -saves is meaningless since pets have awful saves. -healing is pointless because you have little pet healing anyway. A -2 to stat is weak as well. You only really notice -DR wounds. I often had pets with 3-4 wounds with little to no effect on their effectiveness at all.
  4. They have some very powerful talents. There is a +15% +3 DR talent, +30% for flanking and +50% when attacking a DoTed target (Chanter damage song counts). Be even better if it were a Stag. Give Sagani a Pistol, Swift aim model, Stalker's link (get the ranger Torc in Def bay for +20% damage) and she can hit for 40-50 as well. Wounding Shot can one shot Phantoms and Wisps when used with a Fine Pistol. Ranger's are really good now and are actually good from level 1 unlike a lot of other classes. Was so impressed I started a new PotD run with a Ranger. So far its the only character that can actually give a Aloth with Chill Fog/Secrets of Rime) a run for his money damage wise. One of the few classes that actually wants to take as many class talents as possible. So far done all of Temple of Elothas without needing to rest or use items and cleared out the entirety of Raedic's Hold with only 1 rest at level 4.
  5. The most important thing to keep in mind with tanking is positioning. If you are face tanking 5-6 mobs any tank who is not heavily overleveled is going down. For example I just did the Temple in my current Potd run without a using a single rest or item with nothing but story NPCs. Shadoes need LOS to teleport. So get you tank to shoot one of them with a bow then run around a corner. Then ambush them with the rest of your party as they come around. Have your backline stealthed and your offtanks unstealth so that they catch an early teleport.
  6. The best non premade party on potd I have at the moment uses double chanters. Gives strong and secondary tanks. Use the Paladin over Eder because she has good fort/will/ref saves and can do support as well as tank. Throw in the Priest and Aloth for support and more AOE and that leaves one flex spot that changes depending on need. Sagani has proven suprisingly effective so far with a pet build. The pet hits extremely hard plus it helps give me a tank line that does not rely on engagement but simply body blocks so that enemies can't get to the backline. Cleared out the entire sewers with no resting and only using like 3 spell casts (1 Chill Fog, one DR bacc, one acc/dam buff.
  7. You can mix in one Paladin to remove immunities on big targets like Dragons. Since damage song's stack both between Chanter's and on the same chanter the damage can be really high. At -40% recite speed and 50% Int duration bonus (20 int which is easy to achieve) Dragon Thrash/Wail is a 4.8 recite time with a 6s linger. One chanter can actually have 1.2 seconds of TRIPLE stacking Dragon Thrash/Wail. They don't suppress each other. This can easily be tested if you don't believe me.
