  1. For excessively (allegedly) linking to the wiki, and for posting info about the Bethesda vs. Interplay lawsuit.
  2. Well, it's not as if they couldn't set up official boards both here and there. Bethesda likes to have everything under control, though. Too bad, since I'm banned from their forum.
  3. It did: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Silent_Running
  4. The key is to hire not necessarily celebs, but talented voice actors, like Charlie Adler or Jim Cummings. The latter voiced Set, Gizmo and the Master in Fallout 1, each with a very different voice. These guys often have an awesome range of voices.
  5. I think Doom and Quake are owned by id. Here's a two-part interview with a GOG founder about the deal, and other stuff (e.g. him calling Steam "malware"): http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/1,95338,7498...sc_wywiadu.html http://polygamia.pl/Polygamia/1,95338,7498...li_wywiadu.html (English version on the right-hand side of the page)
  6. Aside from the bad story and TPP/FPP aspect, Fallout Extreme would actually be closer to JA2 than FOT was.
  7. More information: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Au...I:_the_gameplay Some of the gameplay aspects were actually pretty cool.
  8. Wasn't Tactics 2 going to take place in Florida? I thought the idea of a ****ed up out of control GECK to be rather interesting Yup, see: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Tactics_2
  9. That's called Fallout Tactics.
  10. See this for details: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Online_FAQ
  11. That would be Fallout Tactics 2, not Fallout eXtreme!
  12. I do, but I can't share it yet, unfortunately. Some of it will definitely be interesting to cRPG fans, though.
  13. Expect something big GOG-wise tomorrow.
  14. Fear not, Bethesda has not announced a new Fallout spin-off. Fallout Extreme was a canceled squad-based first- and third-person tactical game for the Xbox, using the Unreal Engine and developed by Interplay's 14 Degrees East division. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Au...rt_I:_the_story
  15. Read the description.
  16. Brian Menze, the artist who drew all the new Vault Boy art in Fallout 2 (the original Fallout ones were drawn by Tramell Isaac), and who is now working on Fallout: New Vegas at Obsidian, decided to sell some of his drawings on eBay. Looks like the first two have already been sold, but hopefully there will be more coming. They went for the extremely low prices of USD $28.00 and $52.05 - Brian really should have posted about it at The Vault, NMA and this forum. They would have gotten much higher bids if not for the fact that almost no one knew about it. Scourge of the Wastes and Weapon Handling Grave Digger and Villified
  17. You could - Obsidian.
  18. Hilarious. I didn't know that. Glutton Creeper had been working on a pencil-n-paper version of Fallout and Bethesda killed it. Fortunately they did. The Glutton Creeper Fallout d20 was just hilariously bad. You should have seen the fragments they published. And they themselves tried to kill a fan-made Fallout d20 PnP RPG project, so they absolutely had it coming.
  19. Here, sorry for being late. Actually, it turns out that Optimus shares will now be owned equally by the previous owners of CD Projekt and of Optimus.
  20. Thing is, Brian chose that name because he felt "in exile" from Interplay. And he seems like the kind of guy who would buy the name Interplay after Herve's IPLY is dead for nostalgia and poetic justice. Also, InXile doesn't have as much brand recognition yet as Obsidian, so adopting a fairly known (even if in decline) brand could help.
  21. If anything, I think it would make more sense for Brian Fargo's InXile to buy the name "Interplay".
  22. I wouldn't count on Tibbets, but I hope Hoover Dam, Caesar's Legion, Daughters of Hecate, Maxson Bunker, Reservation, Denver etc. get a mention.
  23. A typical Russian fire drill: http://club.foto.ru/gallery/images/photo/2...2/15/756059.jpg -
  24. While I'd love Van Buren to see the light of day, I doubt it will happen. But I do hope for elements of the Van Buren setting like factions, places and characters to appear and/or be mentioned in Obsidian's Fallout game(s).
  25. I found it weird that most major corporations from previous Fallout games were at least mentioned in Fallout 3, but Poseidon Oil/Poseidon Energy wasn't, especially given their connection to the Enclave, which was the main adversary. Not even a Poseidon logo on the power stations. I hope they'll at least get a mention in FO:NV.
