  1. First Mothership Zeta screenshot : http://www.ausir.master.pl/MZDLC_Wanamingo.jpg
  2. They were the same species, though. "Wanamingos" was just the name for the ones living in the Wanamingo Mine. However, "wanamingo" is now being used as a name for both, to distinguish them from actual extra-terrestrials.
  3. They were products of genetic experimentation.
  4. They also took the Hei Gui stealth armor in Anchorage and the Trogs in The Pitt from Van Buren, as well as the Tesla Cannon from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2.
  5. It looks like the discussion is getting a bit off topic - this thread is for setting and canon, while another one is for the story and plot.
  6. I'm surprised no one has linked to JE Sawyer's twitter yet.
  7. I doubt they will use the actual Van Buren plot, but they're likely to use bits of Van Buren's setting and background.
  8. Actually, the third project was also based on the Witcher IP.
  9. Not confirmed officially, but it's pretty much a given, seeing how little time they have.
  10. I also wonder if it will give Josh the opportunity to reintroduce some of his old ideas, such as his division of the US into the 13 commonwealth (hence the flag, it was actually originally Leon Boyarsky's idea on FO1, but it wasn't fleshed out with an exact division of the US into the commonwealth until Josh's work on Van Buren).
  11. BTW, wonder what the currency in New Vegas will be. Bottlecaps again? Gold? Casino chips?
  12. Well, I think they might tweak SPECIAL somewhat (e.g. reintroduce traits), but I wouldn't expect fundamental changes.
  13. Never played any Gothic, but I'd love to see a game as good as Arcanum again.
  14. There's a difference between hiring celebrities for their name and good, but not necessarily famous voice actors.
  15. Didn't prevent many Bethesda fans from complaining about it as a "bug".
  16. Given that he's not at Obsidian, that wouldn't really be appropriate.
  17. Really? Even if you blow up Megaton you can still complete Moira's quests? ANd still shop with her and stuff? Yes, she just turns into a ghoul and moves into the Underworld.
  18. Of course, we don't know yet how well the AoD reputation system will be implemented, but it does sound good in principle.
  19. I'd prefer a system like the upcoming AoD one, which doesn't measure how "good" or 'evil" you are, but measures your general reputation, reputation in major factions, as well as such traits as loyalty, word of honor, prestige, body count, diplomatic successes, etc.
  20. As I mentioned, I'd like the black and white Karma replaced by a reputation system akin to this one: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/images/newGui3.jpg With several variables the NPCs can judge you on, but not "good" vs. "evil". I think it's better to leave measuring his character's self-respect to the player. Otherwise, the game will always arbitrarily assume what the moral code of the PC is.
  21. Ditch the current Karma system and move on to several different reputation variables that the game will keep track of, like in the upcoming Age of Decadence.
  22. I hope for no Enclave at all, and minor roles for BoS and the super mutants at most.
  23. Bethesda might not visit NMA and the Codex, but nothing prevents Obsidian devs from going there. In fact, JE Sawyer has posted at the Codex in the recent days.
  24. By the way, No Mutants Allowed already has a whole forum board for New Vegas, with some interesting discussions going on there: http://nma-fallout.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=66
