About Pallegina
About Pallegina, does she have any interaction at all at the Hylean temple? Seems bizarre the priests would just ignore her while she's in your party.

Community, we need to get this game completely voice acted.
Don't pretend that a fan voice pack would be anything other than utter hilarity. I'm well up for it.

If PoE was made using Skyrim's engine...
Gamebryo is one of the reasons I can't stand the Elder Scrolls games. The only real saving grace is that it's so easy to mod. Though 90% of Skyrim mods are porn and 9% is questionable porn.

So what does everyone think the best chants are?
Yeah, Dragon Thrashed is basically Soft Winds of Death that's actually worth using. The level one phrases give such negligible effects it doesn't really matter. Thick Grew Their Tongues is one I try and layer with the stronger phrases. Sure Handed Ila even post-nerf is worth using in a gun heavy party and Lo, Their Endless Host mark the two standout level 2 phrases. All the 3rd level phrases are great though the fire weapon enchant I find the worst since it won't stack with Burning Lash and the bonus damage is very minor unless you're doing solid numbers anyway.

Alright Obsidian, there's really only ONE problem with this game
My Eder has 79 Deflection at level 9 and he's always dual wielding with Defender on. Only needs to switch to Larder Door when the really big stuff starts swinging.

Time to whack out the custom portraits for a Maiden run.

I'd have not complained if all Phrases and Invocations were Iron Maiden lyrics.

Chanters are rock stars. Deal with it.

Most enjoyable companions?
I originally thought the thugs at the entrance of Dyrford were talking about Grieving Mother. Then I noticed they said they were after an Orlan. Would have made for a stronger introduction to GM rather than a very forgettable quest.

Most enjoyable companions?
Hell, there's little acknowledgement your party is given outside of conversations with your PC. Remember the playboy Elf in the Copper Coronet?

Most enjoyable companions?
I do remember a few times there were responses in BG2. Even if they were throw away lines.

Most enjoyable companions?
I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of internal party relations in PoE, honestly. Eder should really have a chip on his shoulder with Durance when he goes off on one of his Eothas bashing moments. Certain party selections in BG2 would become awkward eventually because of this but in a way it added more realism to the characters if they'd eventually try to kill each other. It didn't much bother me. Likewise, it's a bit crap that NPC's won't react to your own party members interjecting in conversations. Durance's lines about the Magran priestess in First Fires are fairly amusing but she doesn't even say anything in response. I don't know if this is because the team had several writers working in isolation? It gives that impression anyway.

Nerf of Sure-Handed Ila in 1.03
It's still a very useful buff like others say if you use a fair amount of firearms. A lot of my encounters involve sticking Eder in a narrow space like a steel garden gnome and using the other five to shoot bullets till they're dead. Give Chanter's a shield weapon set and they can switch to an off-tank fairly nippy.

What race/class did you pick?
Coastal Aumaua Chanter. I didn't even like Avatar.

Hard mode is too easy.
Trolls actually needing Fire or Acid damage to kill outright is another example.

Hard mode is too easy.
The magic damage requirement certain enemies had in the original BG's was in hindsight something I preferred. Just having different DR values means that you can just bulldoze your way through certain encounters even if you've not adapted to what an enemy is weak against. If a ghost was totally unaffected by non-magical bullets I'd be much more inclined to think about my inventory in general.

Hard mode is too easy.
I think summon items generally are far too useful and they should be made one use per two or three days. I actually refrain from using the Adra Beetle one in most encounters because it's too good. Being able to summon anywhere out to 10m is also too much of a boon. Unsure if I was over leveled for the encounter at Searing Falls (at level but the Dragon was made simple by Eder quaffing a potion of Elemental DR+ and practically stun locking him with three knockdowns while the Adra Beetle handled everything else. Eder is a stocky lad but certain creatures should probably be immune outright to certain effects. I'm unsure how you manage to knockdown a Rain Blight.

Nerfing: You've GOT to be kidding me - get real Devs
Forge Knights stacking three Noxious Bursts on top of my party made me laugh. That's the level of bull**** I'd expect myself to pull off, so I'm cool with being given just as good on occasion.

Durance is head and shoulders above everyone else in terms of writing quality. But then again, he has an unfair advantage by having volumes of it. And being the only companion to tell you to piss off and prevent you lore binging.
-
Obsidian, I feel sorry for you.
Mods should really be given powers to ban people for being a bore.
