  1. Do you trust every other random person that happens to pass by in Teh Internets?
  2. It's this place, it...it changes smug Brits...turns them into goffers...
  3. "N
  4. The original and Chaos Theory were definitely the stronger ones. The former is actually a puzzle game with stealth elements, rather than the action game it was marketed as and as such I can forgive the game's cons, like the immense amount of gotcha-traps, incredibly irritating alarm systems and general railroading, by a wide margin.
  5. Yahtzee reviews FEAR: Perseus Mandate "Also, could the person who made the ZP style review of Art of Theft while I was away please forward his name and adress to the Escapist so that I can burn his house down." Also, "Perseus Mandate" is the best game title since Dungeon Siege.
  6. ^That's exactly what I do. Thanks mkreku for the Decrapifier though.
  7. I made a friend who has all Gabriel Knight games, Lucas adventures and Sierra classics in their original format and a computer that can handle them. Life is joy.
  8. Don't bother asking, we really can't say. I get lost in his posts usually about halfway through, what I presume with my meager education to be, the second sentence. As Xardy put it: tl;dr
  9. I liked how IO gave you almost endless ways to go about being undetected in the last Hitman game and still gave you a good chance to survive direct combat. In comparison, the last Prince of Persia game, Two Thrones, perfected melee combat and gave a whiff of stealth to the game. Then came Assassin's Creed which started a new series, but raised both features introduced previously into a whole new level. I'm seriously giddy how IO is gonna answer.
  10. I don't have the game on me, sorry.
  11. I will quote this. NOW. As for my family, my parents' marriage never really worked and they've staid together mainly to pool their time and resources together for me and my sister. Both are pretty wizened and bitter at this point, but I expect the situation to ease a bit when either one decides to move away. Otherwise, it's pretty functional even though we hardly see each other. My older sister(26 yrs but retarded to 15) lives separate and I also live(mostly) quite aways from home, because my uni is long ways off(200+ km and no car) Kouvola. Dad works as an overseer in roadworks near Helsinki(the capitol), around 120 km away from our hometown, and my mom is constantly working because our area doesn't exactly have an abudance of speciality children professionals, so even if I have the time and money to come home, I don't expect to see them a lot. From before I remember, I used to frequent at my friends' and some of them are like second families to me. I have rejoiced every time we bond a little better, since my best friends' parents at one time used to know me better than my actual parents(too busy being at odds to really notice me). I cherish all of them, though I doubt all of them cherish Finnish youths' drunken carousing on their roof every other year, hah. Except for grandma, all my grandparents have kicked the bucket. Which is why we spent most of our occasions at grandma's. It works pretty fine. Almost all my fond Christmas memories are from my grandparents. The snow tended to come there earlier, at least that's what it seemed to my little mind back then, and it would cloak the land in in pillowy puff before the traditional South-Eastern weather cast the growing mounds in ice and made all roadways and streets into slosh. I remember staring into the death-silent Anjalian winter night and seeing the wind topple the puffy mounds and push snow off the roof. And I'd smile. Edit: If you spot the congruency between the quote and my dysfunctional family immediately, then I'm sorry for being a living cliche.
  12. So there's no actual assassination(man, that's a lot of bunghole) in the game? Just killing and running away?
  13. Surviving is not a problem even in high settings, since you can pretty much grind in the random planets before any major missions. Kill the odd thresher maw(doable, once you get the hang of drive-by-shooting), go around planets with an electronics expert and a smooth talker and you'll reap xp without any serious action. Well, giant space slugs trying to suck your bonemarrow might be called serious, but only after a fashion. Furthermore, if anyone happens to spend some time in the Sparta section of space(next to Knossos, in Artemis system), please look for an inevitable easter egg.
  14. Do you know of any good indie turn-based party micro-managing games? Avernum 2 and 3. Nethergate is also pretty decent, but stay away from Avernum 1, it's a rough prototype. Best thing about the games is that they are so long, but it's also their worst part, finishing is pretty hard since you know there's that upteenth dungeon and level left till you can best that end boss. Avernum 3 is an incredibly solid title, pretty much the best indie rpg I've played, but, much like your average jrpg, the constant battle gets tiring eventually. Fortunately, once you reach a decent enough level, you can just mow down goblins and other low-to-mid-level critters without starting combat as the default action towards hostiles is melee attack and your frontman is tough enough to kill anything up to drakes in a couple of blows. Get them here: http://www.spidweb.com As for yours truly, I'm in the process of studying and since I don't have a computer at my home I am rather devoid of any gaming, besides some ROMs that can easily fit in gmails upload function, heh. I'll probably continue my Lawrence Shephard 8th level Spacer-Sole Survivor/Infiltrator playthrough in Mass Effect, once I get back home. Also, Carcassone is godly.
  15. Definitely. Bioware almost made it, again.
  16. Finntroll - Slaget vid Blods
  17. "Perfectly norman"? Norman...Osborn?
  18. What do you mean? That doesn't prove anything. Well, it does prove that they own two xboxes. Big deal!
  19. What do you mean "16 thousand posts is pathetic"!?
  20. Yeah, the real gimmick is Cantousent's. I'm actually his alt. Well, next to everyone is.
  21. I never liked Trent's voice, so this is pretty nice. Thanks Pop.
  22. That's so Alastair Reynolds that it's not even funny. It's not like the Reapers-thing hasn't been done before him, but to even use the same kind of baiting method to summon them, ughh... I call a rip-off.
  23. Because genreists can't label for ****. Somebody called Melechesh "blackened death" and Orphaned Land "folk metal" lol waht?! Yes - Homeworld(The Ladder) Also, I need to get a freaking avatar.
  24. The main thing to remember here is practicality. If you are buying a pre-set laptop(one that is already fitted with Windows and accessories), as most are, HP(just like Compaq used to) tends to clutter their rigs with needless applications that, instead of actually helping with safety and organizing, give you a host of problems. Such as compatibility issues with third party stuff and problems when you re-install after a format or some such.
