I never liked Trent's voice, so this is pretty nice. Thanks Pop.

Volournian Early ME Impressions
That's so Alastair Reynolds that it's not even funny. It's not like the Reapers-thing hasn't been done before him, but to even use the same kind of baiting method to summon them, ughh... I call a rip-off.

Because genreists can't label for ****. Somebody called Melechesh "blackened death" and Orphaned Land "folk metal" lol waht?! Yes - Homeworld(The Ladder) Also, I need to get a freaking avatar.

Notebooks
The main thing to remember here is practicality. If you are buying a pre-set laptop(one that is already fitted with Windows and accessories), as most are, HP(just like Compaq used to) tends to clutter their rigs with needless applications that, instead of actually helping with safety and organizing, give you a host of problems. Such as compatibility issues with third party stuff and problems when you re-install after a format or some such.

Game prices
I understand the luxury goods-argument, but +50% price when across the pond does not help a hobby I've previously been able to afford very well.

Eidos Announces Deus Ex 3
They made a Bioware game with Jack Wall, I have no doubt that an in-house Eidos Thief game with Eric Brosius is possible as well. Not to mention, considering how high ratings (like BAFTA etc) the soundwork of Deadly Shadows got, there's bound to be interest for Brosius.

Mass Effect
You can choose party members for missions, there's a "shore party" load-out every time you land on something, be it THE foreboding lava world or some random rock in the middle of nowhere. And as for tentacle rape, here, check the last segment. Also, that video seemed to feature all planetary(off-Citadel) missions I've done(or fumbled) so far.

Yes, it does. Oh, please, please please...

Mass Effect Reviews
I think the NPCs are pretty good after the horde of goons that was Jade Empire. Calm, military and scientist types abound, some with very downtone biowarian complexes. Someone might miss the archetypal soppy romance interest(ugh, Dawn Star), who seeks attention after every trifle-disturbing combaty venture, however. There doesn't seem to be any inane gimmick characters like Kang the Mad or HK 47 either. Rather, the npcs are quite down to earth, which I find very fitting in light of the setting. Actual science fiction for once! Though it seems to be interspered with space opera at parts. Fortunately, it's the Absolution Gap type space opera rather than New Jedi Order type space opera.

Mass Effect
Yes. Did I mention that this is the first nigh-awesome game from Bio since Throne of Bhaal? It's also very difficult at parts. Or I suck at choosing party members...

Religion and the ESRB...
Woah, talk about stubborn here. I wish you luck, Tale.

CoD4
I'd like to hear about that too. I still think the game ends way too soon. Not because I exactly adore GoW(****ing factory section), but because the first half of the game feels really short.

He's not that bad. I agree though, Pavilion is upposedly decent, although I'd avoid anything Hewlett-Packard and instead go for Dell or Fujitsu.

Mass Effect
I landed on Presrop, found a merc party that I obliterated with the mass loader cannon. Then I spent ages riding up mountains and down valleys and messing with the thrusters of Mako, having a hell of a time. Indeed, the driving felt like a mix between Battlezone and Halo, having the former's scope and the latters great control. Then I arrived on an arid plateau in the middle of nowhere. *rumble* "Hey pal, what's with the noise?" "...you'll see in a bit" "Wreaaarrrrr!" "****!" *tentacle rape*

Mass Effect. Goddamn, I'm enjoying it like a fat man enjoying his lolicon. With passion. Hard scifi, finally.

Books
Koushun Takami's Battle Royale I bought this from a bargain shelf in a dingy little Monmouthian book shoppe. So far, pushing 200 pages, I'm not disappointed on the lost 4 and half pounds and hours. I've intentionally yet to watch the movie, having bought the book a year ago and been able to watch the movie several times but deciding against it, simply because I don't wish to spoile yet another pulp classic. Yes, that was a pure assumption, I get it. However, I might give the book a rest and watch the movie, since I have no doubt that there's a ton of nuances and flavor lost in translation and the action doesn't seem to transfer well in to text form, or rather that the translator has messed up all the fight scenes.

What are you playing now?
I'm just installing Icewind Dale 1 for the first time. Uh, since this is not 3rd ed like the sequel, what kind of party composition is viable? Can you survive with less than 6 characters, as I liked taking only 4 in the sequel?
