  1. That was surprisingly funny. Especially the dance animations. Impressive.
  2. I just have to add, that the music from Spellforce's first expansion, Breath of Winter, is wonderful. I don't like the game that much(only played the demo), but the music is propably the best set of beautiful fantasy themed strategy game music I've ever stumbled upon. The song, "Cenwen", is nothing sort of enchanting. Very Howard Shore-like and definetly a grower. That is, opening slowly to the listener. And it's free. http://spellforce.jowood.com/?rid=867&lang=en
  3. Where ever this thread might end up, I predict that Azarkon will have a great future here, if he ever chooses to take a more active role in the community. Welcome.
  4. "laws involving censorship are always overly general." They're so because of necessity. With so much "sencorable" stuff out there nowadays, officials are hard-pressed to form laws whose confines are bendy enough to be flexible with different situation, but at the same time frim enough to not be open form debate.
  5. http://www.gamershell.com/articles/943.html This is a rather interesting albeit somewhat stereotyping article about the other side of T&A in video games. Are the new generation's sexual identities influenced by the games they play? Do the overly beautiful or macho player characters gather more audience than normal looking ones? Are they setting new standards for being attractive? Discuss, cuss the article, tell our opinions.
  6. Stating the obvious here; but this thread seems to be forming in to something interesting. And hopefully unflammable.
  7. No wonder that the fall is so prominent theme in the whole mythos. Even actions taken for good can make you fall.
  8. I so want to play that game, but my wallett remains thin and sun beckons. Curse you summer!
  9. Volo-fuelled burns the brightest.
  10. Extreme censorship hampers creativity, but thoughtful does not. I agree. Tack.
  11. I use stolen poses too. Some magazine photos are just too tempting to not be pillaged.
  12. To mkreku: For the lack of better discussions to take part on; I'll make a question. What in your opinion is enough when "protecting the weakest"? In general sense of course.
  13. I'm curious; why is using extreme examples so common tactic for proving one's point when making arguments in threads? Seems very un-subtle. Almost brutish.
  14. The cause, not the actions made towards it? Dancing on a razor's edge there.
  15. I so want to see the swede's reply to this. Go mkreku!

    LOL

Heh, Hotel Kultakala, or Habbo is a notorious money hole among parents with mobile owning kids. It's also crap nowadays. Like Ultima Online without the tomb raids and group effort. I remember when the SA guys made a crusade into the servers. "Hear us Prismatic Beings!"
  17. Reporting hardly matters here, as the folks responsible for further actions tend to check the reason for the complaint. The posts which are relevant, I mean.
  18. Don't. It's quite frankly impossible considering all the contracts ought to be included when making a deal so prominent. The wait would be forever-lasting
  19. Ditto'ed. Gothic had a nice grimy medieval atmosphere. And, for change, people had logical reasons for being good and evil. There were no extremes as such. If you discount the endbosses.
  20. Yeah, double standards are wierd.
  21. I don't exactly understand what you mean by totalitarian...well, there's no central government in the world and no real order outside the cities. The City is lead by a Baron, who is off warring against the other city states(Blackbrook, for example). In the meantime the real power is held by both rich merchants(or corrupt policemen, whichever way you look at it) and a fanatical order of warrior priests known as the Order of the Hammer(hammerites). They worship a god dedicated to civilization and construction, but are actually very ascetic when it comes to their dogma and ethics. The Builder is known for being the bringer of fire and light, starter of civilization. He's the direct counterpart of pagan deities, who are trying to return the City in to it's "roots". The pagans are sort of druids with a very magical look. All kinds of foresty and even lovecraftish stuff. Quite simply; the pagans are the Chaos and the hammerites the Order. Then there are other players...
  22. It's fine by the way. Do you realise that 128 posts, almost a third of your full account, have been done into this thread? That speaks of commitment... or of not having a life.
  23. As long as this modern "adventure games and tech support are things of the past"-policy continues, I doubt I'm going to give'em more money or trust.
  24. Ditto. As for my review; check the Favorite Game World-thread. I can't be arsed to write almost the same thing here. Gameplay is a minor thing in a game so focused on atmophere anyway.
