  1. How "far-out" can a nick be without being ridiculous? Quite far, as musopticon was originally a device used for checking phantasmal activity in the short story "The Phantasm of Q____" by Fred Sturgeon. For those not in the know; Fred Sturgeon was a wierd tales writer along with moorc0cks and howards and lovecrafts of the last century. A rather good one actually. Along with oneiroscope, who also is a forum indentity in the net, musopticon was mentioned only once in the whole text, which further proves me as a nutjob when it comes to coming up with decent names. I was Undead Capustine Monkey once, before that I used Dreen Majel everywhere. That name was just a mix of different themes and words which I used as a character name in some obscure rpg. Later, I found out that Dreen had already been taken by a hundred other things and Majel was a common surname somewhere. The avatar changes periodically, but this one's from Rise of Legends. It's steampunk. 'Nuff said.
  2. No jedi would ever use it. Remember, saber is not merely a weapon; it's a mark of a trained knight, his defence and protector of the weak. An what's the point really. Carry a repeating blaster with the saber if you're so inclined. I picture jedi as the last knights, not as Republic's special forces unit/psykers.
  3. I don't care if it was real or not. The cool factor surpasses minor things like those. I recommend watching, whatever then your stance about hypnosis and britts are. And we all love zombies anyway.
  4. Really, the amount of backround fluff offered for WoD is just insane. Take the Camarilla for instance; every clan sees it in a bit different light, all clans have different factions and all plot against each other, but on the surface it's all "fun and games". The situation is so juicy as everyone is busy backstabbing when the end of the world is nearer than ever. It's not about who's the strongest, it's about who survives when the whole world is colored red sanguine and drained dry.
  5. That was surprisingly funny. Especially the dance animations. Impressive.
  6. I just have to add, that the music from Spellforce's first expansion, Breath of Winter, is wonderful. I don't like the game that much(only played the demo), but the music is propably the best set of beautiful fantasy themed strategy game music I've ever stumbled upon. The song, "Cenwen", is nothing sort of enchanting. Very Howard Shore-like and definetly a grower. That is, opening slowly to the listener. And it's free. http://spellforce.jowood.com/?rid=867&lang=en
  7. Where ever this thread might end up, I predict that Azarkon will have a great future here, if he ever chooses to take a more active role in the community. Welcome.
  8. "laws involving censorship are always overly general." They're so because of necessity. With so much "sencorable" stuff out there nowadays, officials are hard-pressed to form laws whose confines are bendy enough to be flexible with different situation, but at the same time frim enough to not be open form debate.
  9. http://www.gamershell.com/articles/943.html This is a rather interesting albeit somewhat stereotyping article about the other side of T&A in video games. Are the new generation's sexual identities influenced by the games they play? Do the overly beautiful or macho player characters gather more audience than normal looking ones? Are they setting new standards for being attractive? Discuss, cuss the article, tell our opinions.
  10. Stating the obvious here; but this thread seems to be forming in to something interesting. And hopefully unflammable.
  11. No wonder that the fall is so prominent theme in the whole mythos. Even actions taken for good can make you fall.
  12. I so want to play that game, but my wallett remains thin and sun beckons. Curse you summer!
  13. Volo-fuelled burns the brightest.
  14. Extreme censorship hampers creativity, but thoughtful does not. I agree. Tack.
  15. I use stolen poses too. Some magazine photos are just too tempting to not be pillaged.
  16. To mkreku: For the lack of better discussions to take part on; I'll make a question. What in your opinion is enough when "protecting the weakest"? In general sense of course.
  17. I'm curious; why is using extreme examples so common tactic for proving one's point when making arguments in threads? Seems very un-subtle. Almost brutish.
  18. The cause, not the actions made towards it? Dancing on a razor's edge there.
  19. I so want to see the swede's reply to this. Go mkreku!
  20. LOL

Heh, Hotel Kultakala, or Habbo is a notorious money hole among parents with mobile owning kids. It's also crap nowadays. Like Ultima Online without the tomb raids and group effort. I remember when the SA guys made a crusade into the servers. "Hear us Prismatic Beings!"
  21. Reporting hardly matters here, as the folks responsible for further actions tend to check the reason for the complaint. The posts which are relevant, I mean.
  22. Don't. It's quite frankly impossible considering all the contracts ought to be included when making a deal so prominent. The wait would be forever-lasting
  23. Ditto'ed. Gothic had a nice grimy medieval atmosphere. And, for change, people had logical reasons for being good and evil. There were no extremes as such. If you discount the endbosses.
  24. Yeah, double standards are wierd.
