The problem with Xard's opinion(hah) is that there's a heckload of incoming K2 fans that just played the game recently. They haven't read the thread before so ideas tend to revolve around the same thing. And now that the "#20" is off the thread title, newbies have quite different view of this thread. On the other hand though, posting story ideas is just lame and useless. Devs will never read them no matter how good they are.

Yeah, Gold isn't backwards compatible. Sorry about that bandwith limit thing. I can't find a decent, up-to-date link anywhere else in the net. Every site just has 5.4, 6.0 or 6.2. Here's Platinum though. It works on 1.5 version, which is for normal RTW, no need for BI. It's essentially RTR for 1.5 and BI's 1.6, but it's not "officially supported"(fat lot of ****, since there's a bunch of RTR-devs on board) by the RTR-devs, but works very well. I have it.

Here: http://www.totalrealism.net/ RTR.com is a site that the last disgruntled team leader(they've had several disgruntled leaders) that left the mod never allowed them to use, so they shifted to a new locus. You can't get the newest version from RTR.com. As for Vlad Kyrulyk's 6.2 music mod(works in the new versions too), go to the sound folder in the RTW/Data and change events.dx to oldevents.dx. I had the exact same problem.

In Oblivion all faces looked like they were created by a random generator. Sassy elven ladies looked like middle-aged art teachers and every wood elf looked like a gay muppet. Pun heartily intended. Everyone should look at the Oblivion concept art(like the manual race images) and compare that to the game reality. And I don't mean textures and lighting and skins and that crap, but how they were used. Just ugghhh. I understand the need for wide variety of looks from butt-ugly to stunning, but everyone in Oblivion looked like a...a...something really fugly thing.

I'd play Half Life 3 with HL2-graohics if it was less like a pipe with lotsa triggers. Half-life 2 was an awesome rolleccoaster ride, but I doubt I'll buy a rehash with better graphics in 3 years. Gameplay gots to improve, you know. And have some emergent gameplay. There's never enough emergent gameplay or body awareness or open-endedness.

Locally, I'd say that Finnish is pretty hard to be proficient in, because it doesn't share th Germanic root of other scandi languages and has hardly any similarities to Russian, even though we are so closely tied historically. I imagine it would be rather easy for anyone from the Baltic coast to pick up conversational Finnish in a couple of months, but to anyone from the Far Out, it's going to be hell to learn it.
