Hahhaa, reality tries to crash and the fail safe goes off to prevent that. The awesomest way to suicide in the D&D-verse.

What books are you reading these days?
Musopticon? replied to Oracle of Mythos's topic in Way Off-Topic
I've been salivating over this "what if" history book series I saw mentioned at the Wikipedia Tartessus-article, but so far haven't found any of them. I'm just finishing George Yule's Study of Language, which has been a delightful look into the very core of lingual genesis. Indeed, it is one of the very few study books I'd gladly read again. -
Like you read a fashion book? Gently turning pages, gazing intently and passionately licking all vibrant young male figures? Mos Def - Sun, Moon, Stars

If giving "a sense of ****ing awesomeness" correlates with the act of "rod-sucking", then...no. But it's otherwise great. Still listening to that.

Interview with Feargus Urquhart and Ryan Rucinski

To Poppy: Yes. True. I agree, mostly. The saga, the story of this particular spawn has however ended. That's why everyone gnashes their teeth. Just see Volourn's last post there, he doesn't write anything about the setting, just that the saga can continue. Now, we can agree over semantics, but I think most people agree that when we write 'Bhaalspawn saga' and use a definite article, then it's about the story of the one who wandered from Candlekeep to the very end of the world. That story has closure, in all accounts. Look, I agree that the universe is well worth another visit, but that's not what the fanboys want. They want more Boo, more dakka and more drow sex. And most "I wish for BG3"-posts are about those. I can see the infatuation with the old npcs and the pc, since they were generally awesome and everyone has a couple of histories with them, but I don't agree that they should make another game based on those. If we could have a game about the progenies of Bhaal, about the established universe, but not with such stupid tacked-on premises for story that Volo suggested, then I'd start to be fairly hyped. Right now, however, I can't really see a continuation of the series. Money, age of it, lack of developer(name one rpg dev that doesn't have a game in development right now) and the fact that Atari owns the license and has it's hands full of D&D anyway. I think all of those qualify for a reason. Oh, by the by. If you reply, can you keep the length message to non-astronomical word counts. I think it is safe to say now, that the more verbal you(passive, not targeted at you Poppy) try to be, the less likely it is that I will reply in any length. Heck, I loose the thought process more and more often. It is aggravating. -
It ululates with the potency of the seething primal mass that gather on the plain of Tso-Tso under the green moon of the Mad Piper.

Battlelore - Ghan of the woods I've never really liked this bad, mostly because I don't like the whole "we are a Tolkien theme band". After Blind Guardian's...well, everything, it feels rather weak. They can be very catchy though. The sound is sort of...how could I put this...a mix between power metal, slager, jump riff metalcore and thrash. Yeah, sounds sucky as hell, but rocks actually quite a bit. I have to mosh at that songs chorus, hehe.

Yeah, the huge contrast of beauty and utter disgust that gets warped so that you can't separate any longer is one of the main drives of the games. And it's carried through by graphics, by music, by text and by literally every aspect of the experience. That's why the games are so dear to so many. Really, I thought the movie was pretty much spot on what kind of movie adaptations we should be seeing. Not awful drole.

I won't even bother. Anyone else? -
^First horror movie that I wasn't even remotely creeped out by. I admit it was very atmospheric(the ash rain first time, the darkness, the church) and had disgusting scenes aplenty(all pyramid head ones, otherworld is born, the revenge scene), distusting in a good way, but never scary.

NGE Marathon continues toda...night. ....what? So, I found out that the coolest guy in campus is a gigantic NGE fan by accident and decided to participate. What gives?

What about war priests and shape shifters? No, I'm not talking about prestige classes, but folks who have chosen a more active role on the front.

I don't care about the country he's being sentenced in. I know you have a huge grudge with people who tend to be negative with your motherland, but I'm not one of them. So, off with the wink. Let's say he'd get convicted on two of the charges in America(we are talking about NASA here, afterall. And the American court system*), he could be facing, what, 26 years in prison? Over what? Security breach? You still don't think that is excessive? *it's vicious

Right, ok.

Is the choice between "yes, I like you" and "shut your face" really interaction? You could have given an option on the settings menu to disable or enable interparty dialogue instead. Because it would have been eerily similar.

Dirge of Cerberus is alright. It looks and plays like Hellgate:London, but in the FF7 world with familiar charaters and passable narrative. I don't dig it, but since I don't have to ay to play it, well....

What PS:T needed was refit of the combat mechanics. But nevermind that now. DA looks yummy, but it's really hard to see it deliver when the last Bioworks have been so crummy.

^That does it. I'm gonna play M&B once I get home.

freaking Weezer Goddamn desentisizing after-parties. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=719006 That post is made of awesome and win.

Again, let me point out that no sentence has even been imposed here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, the existence of the possibility that he might spend half a century in prison is not ridiculous to you? I for one think it is way of the line. I can understand large corporations making statements with dissident convicted to decade-long rehabilitations, but this is insane.
