  1. Tekken 4, as Hwoarang. Best mindless game ever.
  2. Kingston Wall - Fire(Hendrix cover) Shpongle - Around the world in tea daze Tyr - The Edge
  3. Poor guy and poor baby. Sad doesn't even come close to this.
  4. The first time we played, it took my friend and me about 10 hours to get through the game on Hardcore. I enjoyed every hour, but it got a bit boring after the initial shock of lambent wretches. When Theron guards(and Torque Bow!) were introduced, the game picked up again. Last level was glorious.
  5. I install Freelancer again every five months. It will always be awesome.
  6. From which version did you start playing? From 1.0 to 1.5 the game a had a heckload of bugs, possible the worst being that faction AI would be reset after eveyr loadgame. So, armies would stop sieging cities suddenly, because the Ai was recalculating it's relations with other factions, alliances would fail for the very same reason, etc. The Ai also was rather abysmal back then. Only the Britons made naval invasion, etc.
  7. That is my alltime favourite history basher. For the first time, Bloom is not just a Legolas with dark hair and human ears. He's the one that really makes the movie shine, althoug there's the bad part here and there. Oh, and the movie also has one of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses ever. I finally saw Leone's The good, the bad and the ugly for the first time. And I can safely say that it's one of the first movies that really deserves all the praise it's hailed with. I started wathcing it, expecting to be bored to tears, but the characters, the looks and, surpisingly enough, the sounds really carried the movie through. I'll definetly watch it again.
  8. Alastair Reynold's Redemption Arc, a grandious space opera of lovely dystopian fame. After finishing that, I'll get around to Bill Bryson's Notes from a Big Country, which I expect to adore just like his previous book.
  9. In the first and second one, it felt like there was really only one pretermined by devs way to pass an obstacle. Chaos Theory on the other hand, was pure bliss.
  10. Because they can't read every word of the spoken dialog, it's dialog without text. Their standards for story-telling are vastly different, plus it's cool to be cynical. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just thought it was funny.

I love how they bitch about the Sherwood archers - they were already in Medieval 1

Well, if armored rhinos, giant Persians, sith-looking Asabara(immortals) the lack of body armor with Spartans(they wore lacquered armor then) and generally the ahistoricality or anachronism of armies' equipment, dresses and such, don't bother you, then I guess this is about as historical as you can get. At least according to the historians then. Their views, bias and such can of course be disputed. You folks should have seen the TW realism community boards when the first trailers got out. It was hell.
  13. One with text?
  14. Bully Ugly as hell.

    ^Uh-huh. I think it's damn funny.
  16. It's too goddamned cramped, but a fun game.
  17. Anyone can celebrate friendship in the form of gift-giving and shared merriment, right? Please, don't bother yourself with how other people choose to spend their Yuletide/x-mas/whatever, just make it the best time of the year with your friends.

Well then you have a huge list to choose from.. I personally recommend Stalingrad and Das Boot.. and for the English/Japanese view see "Empire of the Sun" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://finnish.imdb.com/title/tt0346293/ That's also a pretty great mini-series.
  19. This thread delivers.

And the original comic was supposed to have an art style and colour scheme that resembled Ancient Greek amphoras. The movie is just going for the same thing. You need special effects for that.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-uWBPCmkSec That's if you absolutely hate the data transfer speed of Yahoo movies, like me. The trailer is glorious. I haven't been as hyped for a movie since freaking Sin City.
  22. The Two Towers Yeah, my fave of the bunch.
