  2. They're just carrying over the stuff from BG2? Bah.
  3. I actually like the removing of healing spells. Means you're not half-required to bring a mage along anymore. I'm ambivalent on the weapon restrictions. It looks like, unlike DA2, party-NPCs will be able to use both weapon styles of their class though. I'm not sure about the no-autoheal after combat though. If done wrong, it can lead to all battles being really easy because you have to retain your health through the whole level. So I hope they don't mess it up.
  4. I played the base game on PS3, the stats and numbers were a bit different, so it felt a bit different. But yeah, for sofa-MP, consoles are king.
  5. HA HA HA!!1 I mean RIP. Hey wuss, I only see you playing softcore these days. Lost your manhood?
  6. Lesson of the day: Don't go against the Act2 keywarden with a missile build. Especially not on HC. RIP.
  7. Yeah, it's too bad they took out those legendary crafting components, it was kinda fun. Understandable though, as grinding for those optimally was pretty stupid.
  8. Multiplayer announced. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/26/dragon-age-inquisitions-co-op-multiplayer-is-all-about-loot Sounds a lot like ME3's.
  9. New patch coming next week. Greater rifts, leg gems, leaderboards, seasons and such.
  10. To my understanding, they're just putting everything they can think of in there in case they want to use them in future games. It's not like everything will be referenced in DA:I.
  11. On the official forums, they clarified they're longest play-through is 150 hours (doing everything possible in a single game), but that's by a person who already knew everything about the game before hand. I had 100+ hour play-through of DA:O, but that was mostly because I pick-pocketed everyone... After that I installed a mod to fasten the cooldown of steal.
  12. Re: Demo, they've pretty much said "no". The gameplay looks identical to DA2 though, aside from the new camera angles and new animations. Re: friendly fire, DA2 had that only on the highest difficulty, it'll probably be the same here.
  13. i'm assuming you need to have the games registered on Bioware's systems as well. DA:I most likely, but they haven't said anything about whether having DA:O or DA2 registered is required for anything. In any case, to use the Keep, you'll need to create the "history file" (or whatever) with it, and then use the game (DA:I) to connect to the Keep servers. After you've started a game like this, you don't have to connect to the servers anymore. So, you don't have to be online all the time, but you have to do it once when you start a game using a history made with the Keep.
  14. You can't even import DA:O or DA2 saves to DA:I. You have to use the Keep. (Though, they've said they might add it in the future.)
  15. Cthulhu! Also, Hawke spotted. I hope you can edit his/her appearance in the Keep, or there will be complaining.
  16. Pathfinder is basically D&D 3.75. If it's real, I'll buy it.
  17. Every thread about Bioware or their games on this board will eventually turn into a discussion about Volourn. What a waste of time.
  18. My guess it has something to do with MP, nothing has been said about the MP, apart from 'it has it'. Urgh. I'm not sure when they've last even talked about it, I'd actually forgotten that. Oh, well... Previously, back when EA said all their games will have an online component, Bio said yes, ours will too... But they also counted stuff like DA:O's online profiles being that. So I wouldn't make too many assumptions about it, until they actually say something detailed.
  19. Pushed back to late November. http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/dragon-age-inquisition-update
  20. Damn, all these new characters. They're so... so... Bioware.
  21. As whenever I play party-based cRPGs my first toon is almost always a mage, the lack of the zoom out camera was among the very first things I noticed. After playing DA2 and then going back to DA:O, I started constantly zooming to the same camera angle that DA2 had. It just felt better. For all classes. To each his own, I guess.
  22. Finally hit Paragon 200 on hardcore. I have two characters that can do Torment I and 3 that aren't yet geared for it. Not planning to go past T1, rather just focus on doing rifts on T1 more efficiently. Still haven't hit the cow level.
  23. I play a Monk on HC, and have found One With Everything really great. There's a bunch of reasons why it's especially worth it in RoS: - You can enchant items, so it's easier to stack up on a specific resistance - Specific resistances are secondary stats, so you can save those primary stats on items for something else. - While items can't have both All-resist and a specific resistance anymore, specific resistances can now go as high as an all-resist affix (previously they were limited to about half of it). My Monk has 372k dps, 11mil toughness and 13k healing. I currently play at Master; I could probably survive on Torment I (or even II), but I prefer to play low-risk.
  24. That does sound rather restrictive for a Diablo game ... where trading with other players is/was an aspect that many enjoyed a lot. Account-bound sounds like ... MMO. Is it only Legendaries that get account bound? Legs, everything you craft, and everything you enchant. Dunno about commodities (plans, gems, etc). But, like I said, you can trade a leg for a couple of hours after you've found it with people you were playing with when you did.
