Pathfinder CRPG by Obsidian?
MrBrown replied to Jigawatts's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Pathfinder is basically D&D 3.75. If it's real, I'll buy it. -
Every thread about Bioware or their games on this board will eventually turn into a discussion about Volourn. What a waste of time.

My guess it has something to do with MP, nothing has been said about the MP, apart from 'it has it'. Urgh. I'm not sure when they've last even talked about it, I'd actually forgotten that. Oh, well... Previously, back when EA said all their games will have an online component, Bio said yes, ours will too... But they also counted stuff like DA:O's online profiles being that. So I wouldn't make too many assumptions about it, until they actually say something detailed.

Damn, all these new characters. They're so... so... Bioware.

As whenever I play party-based cRPGs my first toon is almost always a mage, the lack of the zoom out camera was among the very first things I noticed. After playing DA2 and then going back to DA:O, I started constantly zooming to the same camera angle that DA2 had. It just felt better. For all classes. To each his own, I guess.

Finally hit Paragon 200 on hardcore. I have two characters that can do Torment I and 3 that aren't yet geared for it. Not planning to go past T1, rather just focus on doing rifts on T1 more efficiently. Still haven't hit the cow level.

I play a Monk on HC, and have found One With Everything really great. There's a bunch of reasons why it's especially worth it in RoS: - You can enchant items, so it's easier to stack up on a specific resistance - Specific resistances are secondary stats, so you can save those primary stats on items for something else. - While items can't have both All-resist and a specific resistance anymore, specific resistances can now go as high as an all-resist affix (previously they were limited to about half of it). My Monk has 372k dps, 11mil toughness and 13k healing. I currently play at Master; I could probably survive on Torment I (or even II), but I prefer to play low-risk.

That does sound rather restrictive for a Diablo game ... where trading with other players is/was an aspect that many enjoyed a lot. Account-bound sounds like ... MMO. Is it only Legendaries that get account bound? Legs, everything you craft, and everything you enchant. Dunno about commodities (plans, gems, etc). But, like I said, you can trade a leg for a couple of hours after you've found it with people you were playing with when you did.

They probably just don't want a 3rd party market. You can trade legs for 4 hours (of actual play time) after you got them, but only to people who were in the game with you when they dropped.

The most important changes - When you try to use your potions when they are on cooldown and you're dying, your character doesn't say "Why would I do that?" anymore, rather "I wish I could do that". - Whimsyshire now has BLUE cuddly bears!!!! Seriously, it's a bummer they moved adventure mode to RoS. Otherwise enjoying it.

BG1EE was -75% on steam pretty fast. And for long.

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls - new expansion
MrBrown replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Computer and Console
Expansion info datamined from game client. Very not-final. http://www.diablofans.com/news/2019-spoilers-ahead-diablo-iii-expansion-reaper-of-souls-datamining-post-bosses-game-modes-clans-ladders-and-more/ -
Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls - new expansion
MrBrown replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Computer and Console
I've stumbled upon a plan for a legendary bow and a legendary shield. I've yet to use the plans though, so I don't know how the created items would compare to my current gear. I got the plans for the Cain's Fate -set, which gives +30% exp for 3 items. Quite useful. I also got Leoric's Ring, so I level up pretty fast. -
Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls - new expansion

It was doubled (for Inferno) at some point. And then there's the MF bonuses from MP-levels. It's not a huge difference, until you start having more paragon levels. -
Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls - new expansion
MrBrown replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Computer and Console
Damn, the drop rates in the console version are really high. I just finished playing through normal, got about 20 legendaries, and two legendary plans. I wonder if these are the same rates they're planning to add to the PC version. -
Gaider gets sarcastic and cynical because he spends too much time with fans. For his own health, he should quit reading internet forums, and start using marketing-speech.

Why does your brain hurt? It seems to have this crazy idea that some consistency in the main canon might have a positive effect for the franchise. That or I have one of those brain eating amoebas. I don't see how this would help much, if they're still going to write for various player choices.

There's supposedly some way in DA:I to choose what happened in origins and da2. Only if you don't do that or import, you'll go with the default.

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls - new expansion
MrBrown replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Computer and Console
They actually have stuff on the official page now too: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/reaper-of-souls/ Also, "coming 2014". I will play it, but by how much will depend on what it'll end up as. We'll see. -

From what they've been talking on the forums, there will probably eventually be a game mode where you can't access the auction house, similarly to how softcore and hardcore are separated.

My theory is that the PC is called the Inquisitor because he keeps asking too many questions. I think Bioware found "inquiry" or something in a dictionary, but decided it wasn't epic enough and came up with Inquisitor.
