  1. I liked it. I kinda agree about most of the problems people had with it, they just weren't that big of a deal for me.
  2. Dragon Quest is just widely popular and known in Japan, so that might be it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Quest#Cultural_impact There's even a live-action comedy drama that's basically a Dragon Quest spoof. Can absolutely recommend it, even if you've never played any Dragon Quest games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yūsha_Yoshihiko
  3. That's how EA's games on Steam work. They launch Origin.
  4. I'm sure it'll be on Steam, just like most of EAs games now... but you'll also need Origin.
  5. I like talent tree -like systems, much more interesting than usual lists. Though, at some point you'll want a 3rd party site where you can plan and check beforehand what to take... Thankfully PoE has that, Grim Dawn too.
  6. And it's -50% on steam.
  7. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-10-20-blizzard-vets-form-frost-giant-studios Claim to be making a AAA RTS.
  8. 2. It's the only one that's only available in the older style, officially; there's a fan project that did a VGA version of it.
  9. I've played a bunch of Grim Dawn, and find it kinda ok. I would prefer playing either Diablo 3 (if it had any new content), or Path of Exile (if it wasn't such a huge timesink). Lots of small gripes with it, rather than any huge ones.
  10. Hopefully there'll be a "sell junk" -button, or a junk inventory tab, or something...
  11. D&D has always been very "top" heavy though, even in 3e and it's versions, you pretty much have to plan for feats or prestige classes from level 1 if you want to take them.
  12. Well, it's true to the BG1 and BG2 in that sense.
  13. 5e has a lot of spells that require concentration (most spells that have a duration), and you can interrupt those by attacking the caster. This is a pretty important part on how casting multiple spells with durations is limited, so this probably exists in BG3.
  14. Did they go for random checks? This game is going to be a major annoyance... 5e has very few modifiers for skills, so you probably can't top out a skill to always get a good %. (Rogues can get some big bonuses to thievery type skills though)
  15. Testers you don't have to pay, but who pay you? Yes, please.

  18. DA:I loot would be somewhat bearable if the inventory menus weren't so slow. Unfortunately, it's just plain annoying. At least it quite quickly progresses to the point that anything that's not of the highest rarity is immediately trash.

  20. Yeah, it was a very boring video. Seems to have worked for the big DA fans though, at least on a quick read of YT comments and the fan forums. IIRC, according to some info sent to investors, the game is scheduled to come out in 2022.
