  1. Well, it's true to the BG1 and BG2 in that sense.
  2. 5e has a lot of spells that require concentration (most spells that have a duration), and you can interrupt those by attacking the caster. This is a pretty important part on how casting multiple spells with durations is limited, so this probably exists in BG3.
  3. Did they go for random checks? This game is going to be a major annoyance... 5e has very few modifiers for skills, so you probably can't top out a skill to always get a good %. (Rogues can get some big bonuses to thievery type skills though)
  4. Testers you don't have to pay, but who pay you? Yes, please.

  7. DA:I loot would be somewhat bearable if the inventory menus weren't so slow. Unfortunately, it's just plain annoying. At least it quite quickly progresses to the point that anything that's not of the highest rarity is immediately trash.

  9. Yeah, it was a very boring video. Seems to have worked for the big DA fans though, at least on a quick read of YT comments and the fan forums. IIRC, according to some info sent to investors, the game is scheduled to come out in 2022.
  10. I played the game with a party of 4 Rogues (+support spellcasters). With how the game handles flanking, at about level 9-11 (forgot when) they start doing 10+ (sneak) attacks per round each. Most encounters last only a few rounds, even bosses. Not sure if it's the easiest way to play the game, but it certainly works for 99% of the enemies. I assume turn-based probably makes this a bit harder, but not necessarily that much. Less attacks by you, but also less from enemies.
  11. This game has so much combat I can't imagine turn-based making it any better.
  12. All the Dragon Ages are there now. No Mass Effect 3 yet.
  13. Looks like everyone is remastering their RTS these days...
  14. Guess it means no more battletech games. Was kinda hoping they'd make a better one.
  15. No. Though every class has specializations that you choose at level 2 or 3. Unlike Kits in 2nd ED and the BG games, they don't take stuff away from you, just slightly change what you get.
  16. 8 classes is a bit smaller than standard, but... Some of the basic ones are a bit boring. Barbarians, for instance, don't have much else to do than put rage on, basic attack, basic attack etc. Rangers also don't really have any interesting unique things, being just a mix of Druid and Fighter really. So those two are ones I'd drop first. I'd drop Warlock too, but if that's confirmed, then probably Sorcerer. Not sure what the 4th one is, but probably Bard, Paladin or Monk. Not sure if I'm that excited about it being Turn-based. Modern RPG design tends to include so much fights, turn-based can make the game really slow to play. So, hopefully they don't put too much fights in.
  17. Isn't being a Civ clone the point? Civ games vary their mechanics too, so this really looks just like another variation of it.

  20. If you want to follow Diablo4, apparently they're going to be dropping info etc regularly: https://us.diablo3.com/en/blog/23220969/a-letter-from-our-game-director-blizzcon-2019-11-13-2019
  21. Wasn't that one of the big complaints about D3? That, because re-speccing was so easy, your character didn't really feel yours.
